I'm astounded Danny and Oti's Quickstep isn't in the top 10 YouTube views - that was, for me, the best dance of the series.
Ballroom just scores lower on YT. Last year for most of the series Jay's Waltz was the only ballroom in the top 10. Now his Tango is the only ballroom dance from last year in the Top 10 dances.

But I'm shocked too. His QS isn't even the highest rated dance for that show, Ore's Jive is!

Facebook week 8:

Videos again!

Ore and Joanne - 3.5k likes 102 shares
Danny & Oti - 9.4k likes 625 shares
Louise and Kevin 8.9k likes 320 shares
Greg and Natalie - 3.7k likes 85 shares
Claudia & AJ - 3.7k likes 142 shares
Robert and Oksanna - 6.9k likes 291 shares
Daisy & Aljaz - 3.1k likes 108 shares
Ed & Katya 16kK likes 2.7k shares

Daisy and Ore are the lowest for likes but Claudia and Greg are close. Claudia is safer than Greg and Ore though due to position on the leaderboard

Thanks for these, love the stats. Looks like it could be between Daisy/Greg/Ore this week going by those.

Twitter Likes and Retweets Week 7

Louise and Kevin 442 likes 69 retweets
Danny & Oti - 645 likes 129 retweets
Robert and Oksanna - 450 likes 92 retweets
Ed & Katya 1358 likes 480 retweets
Claudia & AJ - 357 likes 50 retweets
Greg & Nat - 323 likes 48 retweets (by about 2)
Daisy & Aljaz - 315 likes 51 retweets
Ore & Joanne 252 likes 43 retweets

Everybody up on likes bar Greg and Louise( although even he's only down a few on last week)

Twitter also says it's between Daisy, Greg and Ore, and with them all bottom half that seems likely.

Youtube Week 8: (last weeks Sat Night position in Brackets)

1. Ed and Katya -1792 views 211 likes 13 dislike (3)
2. Danny & Oti - 1314 views 144 likes 2 dislikes (1)
3. Claudia & AJ -553 views 62 likes 3 dislikes (4)
4. Louise & Kevin 448 views 40 likes 10 dislikes (2)
5. Ore and Joanne - 430 views 29 likes 13 dislikes (8)
6.Greg and Natalie -353 views 42 likes 3 dislikes (7)
7. Robert and Oksanna - 338 views 40 likes 3 dislikes (6)
8. Daisy & Aljaz - 294 views 38 likes 4 dislikes (9)

Youtube shows Judge Rinder in a bit more trouble but as Greg has always done better on YT than other SM, I'm still calling him in more danger than the judge especially with scores as they are.

Daisy is looking a cert for bottom two.

So close to call between Ore and Greg but as FB and TWitter have been more reliable than YT so far at predicting the bottom two I'm gonna go with Botom two Ore and Daisy!

...or Greg!

Done some number crunching and leaning more to Greg now as Ore is a bit safer with Rinder as a buffer. If Greg ore and Daisy are bottom with the public Ore is safe unless he's last

update on Ore's Jive:

Ore 48 hour figure: 168k
Rinder 48 hour figure 186k

So I expect Ore to hit top 10 on the strictly channel Over the next couple of weeks.
Eds Salsa 24 hour figure is already 145k so looks like he's currently on course to smash Judge Rinders no1 dance of the series.

Ok his almost 48 hour figure is 282k.

That reaction is second only to Jay's Jive. (398k at 42 hours)

He's already 4th for this series and he'll have probably overtaken Danny (Cha Cha) and Ore (Jive) by tomorrow

This is why I worry for Rob. And he is doing a Salsa while Greg will get a ballroom.

Still loving the stats though, so thank you, BMLisa

Aren't all these people looking at it to laugh at Ed Balls - rather than to admire some amazing dancing as in the case of the others mentioned? A sad comparison, really. Giving him yet another comedy 'spectacular' this week at Blackpool, I'm sure his views will be just as high next week

Some of us live in hope that he will not be able to stay out of the dance off for very much longer now...please!

Yep. As you can see by last weeks figures in brackets they're all pretty static in terms of fans now. (Danny Claudia Louise always top 4) I think with Claudia having a Jive I think it's Robert who'll land in the dance off although could be Ore I guess. Judge Rinder may not get the views but he is more popular on SM and FB and Twitter have been way more accurate than YT this year.

The only one who moves about much in the YT ranks is Ed, who disappears to the bottom ranks on his ballroom weeks.

Daisy made a leap up the charts this week but she was actually nearly last on Saturday night, I suspect her figures rocketed after the spoiler as Laura and Giovannis did the week before.

Thanks BMLisa - it's all so interesting

A Yougov poll has Louise as the most popular - she's overtaken Ore. Judge Rinder was the more popular earlier in the series.

Whether the same people who were asked in the poll are the same people who vote on Strictly though ....

I think she very easily could be at the moment. Looking back through her stats she's always done really well. I've been saying for a couple of weeks don't write her off. I doubt she's been close to danger at all so far.

P.S Thanks for all the Thanks everyone.

That is my immediate reaction. You can imagine word of mouth encouraging people to take a look at the routine on YouTube.

I haven't looked at it and am not likely to.

Also depends on who follows who. If Benedict started re-tweeting Roberts dances, his likes would increase. Just he does not seem to have a twitter account.

Ed is already the second most viewed behind Judge Rinder and for a while yesterday it was number 5 trending on YouTube. 😂😂

He'll definitely be top viewed for this series and overall top 5 on the strictly channel by middle of this week.

He's on 385k views now!

He seems to have gained 100k overnight.

I don't think he's geoblocked. To be top 5 trending it must be getting viewed worldwide surely hence overnight figures.

Are there any updates now the dust has settled a bit? I can't work them out myself as most of SM is a closed book to me,, but I am intrigued how it's looking now.

I was more interested in predictions of dance-off/elimination candidates based on the stats. I'm fascinated by how good an indicator they've been so far and wanted to see if they do as well this week!

Probably but I always wonder if a lot of the views are people having a look for a laugh!
