Straw (late 90's Bristol band)

Anyone remember the band Straw, who released the brilliant album Shoplifting in the late 90's? I think it's criminal that they never made it big. I still listen to that album a lot, and have all their singles, which had lots of great "b-sides" that aren't on the album. I've heard a few of the songs from their second (sadly unreleased) album too, called Keepsakes. They're so good and the album should have been released but their wretched record company dropped them! I remember going to see the band at the Fleece in Bristol in around 1998 and they were excellent. Such a shame great British bands like this never had the success they deserved whilst countless rubbish acts seem to triumph!

Anyway, for those who don't know them, here are the links to their 6 officially released singles/videos:

Plus a home video they made for the song Watching You Sleep (from their unreleased second album Keepsakes)

Such enjoyable, catchy music. Anyone else like this band? Btw, does anyone know where I can hear every song from their unreleased album Keepsakes? There are 4 or 5 on YouTube but I'd love to hear the rest.

Yeh they were good like a less annoying Space think I had three of their singles but the first you mention was by far their best song , they used to get good Chart Show support as well.
