I am certain Red Rock will return, as we still have January-June's episodes of this year to see. We have now seen all of 2015's episodes. I think the BBC are waiting until tons of episodes build up for Red Rock as it only airs 2 episodes a week and takes a two month break in the summer in Ireland.
But you also need to remember that Red Rock is simply an import. Doctors is BBC's own property so they are gaining more from Doctors than Red Rock. |

The BBC confirmed Red Rock will return next year and because it is shown less regularly in Ireland, the BBC will wait for lots of episodes to turn up until it returns.
Doctors is quite a good show anyway. |

Before Red Rock aired I would also have said that Doctors was really good but the comparison this week has been a bit unfortunate. Of course, doing a show daily is very different from having the equivalent of a box-set which was the case for us on BBC but I have been a bit disappointed in Doctors and cannot wait for the producers to either get rid of Valerie permanently or shut her up!
I also don't get the liking for Zara whom I find to be arrogant and rude and would hate to be in any workplace with her so the concentration on her and Daniel is probably colouring my thoughts! |

I think you will find that long-term loyal doctors fans will be up in arms at this suggestion, as it has a loyal following and hard-hitting storylines.
I must be in the minority but couldn't get into Red Rock for some reason, no matter how many times i tried, but then we can't all like the same things can we. |

She is well played, though. I disagree with the OP. Besides, the show gets more viewers than the Aussie soaps and Hollyoaks, in spite of its time slot. |
