Gamers need 2 stick together and not buy it. They'll soon get the message and attempt to recover costs.
Won't happen though. |

I'm personally going to enjoy BF1 for a few months until it gets released as stand alone, not buying the other game just for that.

Depends on your definition of 'free' as to me that's getting ripped off. Paying £70 to get two games where you don't really want one of them is playing into Activision's hands and justifies them doing a similar thing in the future.
COD Classic was however released as a stand-alone title about a month later for both consoles. |

But Activision have done this before, with COD. In 2009 they released Call Of Duty Classic (a remastered version of the first COD) with the Hardened and Prestige Editions of Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 and 360.
COD Classic was however released as a stand-alone title about a month later for both consoles. |

Just read that if you install MW: Remastered and Infinite Warfare it will use up a whopping 130GB minimum of your hard drive storage. If you've only got a 500GB HDD that's more than a quarter of the storage, in fact if you've only got 500 gigs many people probably wont have enough room without deleting other stuff!

It gets better. In the same article, Eurogamer btw, it says even if you already downloaded the MW: Remastered Campaign early access version to your PS4 you'll still have to download it all over again as you have to install the full version that comes with the IW: Legacy Edition!
![]() It should be noted EG has asked Activision for clarification about all this. |

Bit of a disaster for Activision that this has leaked and gone everywhere.
Hopefully force them into allowing separate installs at least. 130GB is ludicrous. |

Dont you also need the space of the download for the install as well. I had about 60 gig free and couldn't download a 10 gig game. 40 for MWR and 90 for IW and thats without dlc, even blops 3 with all dlc comes to 85. It takes a while to find a game on ps4 and seeing as you cant delete dlc the game may have to go.

Couldn't give two sh*ts about IW but I'm comfortable with picking up the bling edition to get MWR. The original game I played near enough every day, hours at a time, for two/three years solid. Even at £70/£80, I'll still be getting the value out of the game.
Played the SP campaign last night. Glorious. Raven have done a fantastic job here. The MP, can't play yet, but Raven have confirmed that you can set up private lobbies and play with bots. That'll be me never needing to buy another CoD game then! ![]() You'll also be able to turn off the medal notification pop ups in-game. Sounds like Raven have really taken on-board a lot of the feedback. |

For instance I only had 30gb of HDD space left & was able to download the 22Gb Alien Isolation a few weeks back & jump in & start playing after it had downloaded the 1st 4Gb. |

Don't know about XB1 but most PS4 games don't require installs which allows you to play them while there downloading.

Was it locked down to the MW2 disc though?
Dead Space 2 Limited Edition (contained Dead Space: Extraction) and Medal Of Honor Tier 1 Edition (contained Medal Of Honor: Frontline) both required the disc to play even though they were installed to the HDD. These extras were PS3 only due to the available storage on Blu-ray disc. |

I knew what you meant, just don't agree with the wording that even Activision aren't using.
Yeah it is expensive but we wont need to buy another COD, well not for this gen anyway. I played Black Ops 3 for the first time in a month or two yesterday and ill be honest if MWRM is as good as people say then it is worth £100 cos Blops3 is a cartoony joke parody of a COD game all it is missing is boing noises to accompany the constant jumping. |

You need to look at the bigger picture though and not get wound up on what Activision are saying. I am buying it for MWRM, Bester is buying it for MWRM and i know lots of people in the real world that are buying it for MWRM, to us the inclusion of the space game is irrelevant.

It didn't have to be a bonus game to simply sell more copies of IW. It's no wonder the likes of the original Infinity Ward devs left COD because of Activision's shady tactics and now they are doing the same to their customers. |

Of course it is expensive but Black Ops 3 plus the DLC cost me more and that has evolved in to Carry On Call Of Duty, i was fleeced after the event as the game began to look like it was developed by Tomy. At least i am going in to this with my eyes open knowing what i am getting and who knows IW might not be half bad in the end.
MWRM was included to shut the likes of me up while keeping sales high but it will bite them on the arse because the people like me that are buying it simply wont buy next years version, we wont have a reason to. I certainly wouldn't pay extra for a remaster of MW2 or MW3, they would have to be a cheaper priced standalone game. |

A MW2 remaster removing one man army, commando, noob tubes and danger close would be amazing. Had so fun playing that game even with those broken perks. The other CODs I wouldn't care too much if they did a remaster of them.
To be fair IW campaign looks decent but nothing like what a Call of Duty game should be and more like space warfare. The multiplayer looks poor like Ghosts but they have added boosting. For this reason if you didn't enjoy BO3 then I doubt you will like IW. Beta is out next week so at least can put it to the test. |

Isn't there a degree of rose tinted spectacles about all this, I mean Modern Warfare was the birth of multiplayer on consoles really and obviously people have great memories of that time.
If bare bones MW is what people really want then why are we seeing more and more outlandish variations of COD with each new release, how are the developers getting it so wrong. I'll be honest, I dont understand the world of cod, I left it behind years ago but its nice to see them bringing back the old classic. I might even buy it when it isn't attached to some stupid modern iteration. |

And been honest I'm one of them. I hated MW2 as I felt the changes they made to things like kill streaks & perks made it feel a lot less balanced than the previous games; Yet I still went out & brought Black Ops & even though I had similar complaints about that I still brought MW3 & again even though I had issues with that I still brought Black Ops 2 which was actually the breaking point for me as while I did eventually buy Ghost's it wasn't until it was on sale for £5 earlier this year but i've yet to buy Advanced Warfare or Black Ops 3 (Did play Blops3 when they had a free MP weekend on steam). In terms of MW, It's actually quite funny for me because at the time I wasn't really that keen on it as I'd been playing COD on PC (Which is where i always buy COD) since the original came out in 2003 & wasn't fond on the switch to a modern settings & the way the newer weapons kind of sped up the gameplay a bit. As a result I actually never brought MW at release, It wasn't until I played the SP Campaign at a friends 7-8 months later that I decided to pick it up myself & I ended up jumping into the MP & enjoying it although I never did put the hours into it that I had the original games or World At War which came after. Looking back however & having played it again since i've actually come to appreciate it far more than I did at the time because it reminds me of the COD's I used to love before the kill streak, perks etc... started to IMO get really out of control & making things feel a bit in-balanced in a lot of ways. I'd really like to play this remaster but i'm not paying the extra to also be forced to buy Infinite warfare. If it ever gets a stand alone release i'll definitely get it but for now I won't be getting it. |

Either way, if it's in any way futuristic I won't be touching it with a barge pole. Won't need to. MWR will keep me entertained for years to come. Quote:

I'd like remasters of WaW, MW2 and BlOps. CoD2 maybe too, but more for the SP campaign, MP would need completely overhauling. Quote:

The only thing really preventing the original MW still being the King of MP right now is the lack of support and hacked lobbies. Otherwise, I'd take the original MW over any CoD from between then and now. The last three in particular, BlOps 3, AW and Ghosts, have been absolutely woeful. |
