Yes that's my recollection that Christine Keeler and co were linked to Russian spies and Profumo was potentially compromised

In my view politics has no place in people's bedrooms.

But the poppers .......... Are poppers actually illegal? I googled it but the result I got was unclear.”

I wasn't criticising you when I mentioned rent boys it's a term often used to describe male prostittues , I was questioning whether that phrase was something the poster I quoted had confused .

Poppers are legal and escaped the legal high ban.

It seems to me with the mention of cocaine in the article that the escorts were trying to get Vaz to order cocaine to possibly implicate him in a serious criminal offence , it does seem that possibly cocaine may have featured in previous encounters .

So look for a link when there is zero reason to. bizarre. You could look for links between anything if you require no reason to.

Ive read what the committee do and no link what so ever there. try again

I don't know if that was meant for me as it doesn't in any way seem to answer the questions I posed , not that your obliged to but it just doesn't seem relevant at all.

Well he's not going to come out of this smelling of roses, that's for sure. Although it could be said he's been taken to the cleaners lol

Wonder how he was set up, and who was behind it. Paper doesn't say. Sounds as though somebody's got it in for him.”

Vaz is a Corbyn supporter. I'll draw my own conclusions...

This is in public interest as he's a big figure.

Indeed so........

You really would think politicians would act more intelligently, especially these days with cameras and microphones everywhere.

Things must be really bad in the Labour Party if the Mirror are turning on one of their own

I hope this is the end of Vaz, I always felt he is one of the sleaziest politicians out there.

When you are head of select committee you really need to be whiter than white when questioning people about their business and ethics it doesnt look to good does it!

Let's get Keith in front of Philip green!! Oh such fun.

Despite this I'm betting he won't resign as an MP. He'll hang on until, probably 2020. Then get his nice payoff, plus his full pension entitlement. Shame that recall bill never passed in the commons. He'd have been a goner.

Pete Townshend was researching a book. If you want to go down that route get your tin hat ready.

I thought he was pretty appalling really........he was a bully on his Select Committee but reserved his bullying for 'ordinary people' who had the misfortune to appear. He was tabloidesque in his chivvying of ordinary people to apologise for supposed wrongs to the ruling class

On the other hand any important person like a Cabinet Minister got the smarmy toadying

I'll never forget how he tried to bully those 3 coppers from the Police Federation in the Plebgate matter........he went on and on and on about how they should apologise to Mitchell.

Good on them for standing up to him and refusing..........I've never heard him apologise to them after the judge pretty much confirmed that Mitchell had not told them the whole truth

Nasty piece of work...........bully the plebs, toady to the rulers.........good riddance.

So, let me get this straight...Keith Vaz was double-jobbing by selling industrial washing machines to hotels?

Is "whiter than white" really appropriate when taking about people of Indian heritage?

I dont really see how any of this has anything to do with his job.

They are making a point of this
He is currently heading up the committee which has investigated harm caused by the illegal Class A drug.
Though first off he didnt take it, but even if he had. People who have taken drugs cant give advice on drugs? How about people who drink alcohol deciding on alcohol laws?

Even if he did, which has never been proved, nobody knew at the time.

If it had emerged in such a way as Vaz, when he was running for PM, or actually PM, he would have had to resign immediately, and probably resigned as an MP as well, triggering a bye election.

I believe that it's ok if you include a free box of Persil with the washing machine (for personal use only, of course)

Keith Vaz supported the fatwa against Salmon Rushdie for writing a book.
I usually don't care about the private lives of politicians, but anything that helps bring down Vaz has to be a good thing.
