Someone mentioned on another thread that another gymnast (Laurie Hernandez?) danced a AT on DWTS, just watched and she was amazing and only 16!! Think as long as they get the character of the dance then they could do this really well.

Does anyone else feel like they always hold back Claudia's training footage on ITT? I can never seem to tell if the dance is going well in training or not

To be frank I have to wonder why they bother with Ian's Wednesday slot. The training he looks at is in the main from Monday, and just doesn't show anyone at their best.

I don't watch DWTS but I'm a big fan of Laurie Hernandez. She's a brilliant gymnast so not surprised she's doing well.

They do always seem to show footage of the two of them walking through the steps. We rarely see anything where they are going at full speed, so I always take the training we see during the week with a pinch of salt. It's very hard to gauge much from it.

I also take what Ian says with a pinch of salt. Especially about the AT. He proved last year on ITT that he knew nothing about it.
Zoe asked him to tell them the difference between the tango and the AT during the week Jay and Aliona were doing their AT.
He got the basics of the AT wrong so there you go. What does he know.😀

I did tweet to ask Claudia if Jonathan Platero was helping with the choreo. (He did Danny and Oti's).

Looks like a sneak preview of one of their lifts on Aj's Instagram stories! I'm feeling quite positive about their dance but I'm worried for them! I have no idea who will be in the bottom 2 other than Claudia and Ore 😳 And that's only because they have both already been there and Greg didn't get the bottom 2 bounce! Really hope I'm wrong though!

I'd certainly feel much happier about their chances of staying out the bottom two if they were towards the top of the leader board. The competition is so tough now. The only difference I can see with Greg is that many people perhaps thought he'd reached his limit as he'd being struggling for a few weeks, whereas it feels like there's still so much more to come from Claudia. So hopefully people will take last week as a wake up call and vote her through. The final really needs her presence so it would be sad to see her leave before then. I'm still not over being robbed of Anita and Gleb's show dance last year!

Yes you have a point with regards to greg! I am sure Claudia has so much more to give and as you say we don't want to miss out on their showdance it has the potential to be epic! Was such a shame we didn't get to see Anita and glebs!

I'm really sorry it's gone anyways! Only lasts 24 hours! I would say Claudia definitely needs a strong core for it which obviously she will have! I'm looking forward to seeing what they do tomorrow night and hopefully see some better training footage on ITT tonight

I've just looked at the week 10 training on the MF and it only shows one lift, some steps we saw on Wednesday and AJ nursing a possible sore neck and shoulder.
I hope he hasn't picked up an injury from performing lifts that he is not used to. He did say he hasn't danced the Argentine Tango before.

AJ has posted another video on his stories just saying that the Argentine tango is going to be insane! I really hope it is!! Don't want to get excited about it for them not to receive the recognition they deserve from the judges like past performances!

Been a Claudia fan from the beginning.

Been looking at the main forum and I am worried for her this week.

1)The judges overmarking her Jive has got some people's backs up
2)Her jive seems to have made people forget just how good she has been and that the jive (surprisingly) didn't work for her. Someone even said Rinder was a better dancer than she was!
3)Her beating Greg very narrowly in the DO has annoyed his fans who think he was robbed. I have seen a lot of his fans say that they will be voting for Ed(!) or Rinder. If she is mid-table and with out the pop vote she could really be in danger.

I just hope she smashes the AT!

Someone on this thread said that she has to work harder than some of the others to get recognition, and I am inclined to agree.

I have no idea how she didn't get a single 10 for her Charleston. The judges didn't have a bad word to say about it, they were positively raving about it (amazing, technically brilliant, absolutely outstanding) yet they didn't give her a single 10.

Welcome to the thread firstly I can't say I've been reading much of the MF - I only tend to use it on Saturday apart from reading the odd thread. It doesn't surprise me to hear they've had the pitchforks out for Claudia - it tends to happen when someone beats a popular celeb in the D/O, and Greg was popular (rightly so - lovely guy). Most people who vote don't use DS though so it's not really representative of public opinion.

Having said that it was interesting that two of the guests on ITT tonight thought Claudia could go out I think her being in the D/O last week had a lot to do with it but I do think she is in a risky position. The two weaker dances, Ed and JR, both have strong fan bases (I must say I'm a shameless Ed supporter myself ), and the other dancers are all placing well on the leader board, which is possibly saving people like Louise and Ore, who I wouldn't imagine have a huge public vote like Ed or JR. So I go back to my earlier point that she needs to be at least top 3 on the leader board to have a good shot of staying out of the danger zone (I'd prefer top of the leader board though!). The only positive thing I can say about another D/O situation is that she has the potential to beat anyone head-to-head if she dances to her full potential - but let's hope it doesn't come to that!

It's going to be hard but if she can beat Ore, Ed and Robert then she has a good chance. I am seriously hoping for a great AT and some long awaited 10s.

I think she could beat danny if he messes up the samba a little! That's a big if though of course!

I honestly can't see Danny dropping into the bottom two tbh. I have a feeling his vote is really high. I agree with yellowlabbie but would also add that Louise is beatable in a D/O too imo - I like Louise but I don't think she's any better than Claudia. With the top 4 it really comes down to what dance they're doing.

Oops sorry I meant they could beat danny on the leaderboard therefore being in a safer position on the leaderboard! I agree I don't think danny will ever end up in the dance off!

Louise is a tricky one as I think she is a lot more popular than people think and I think she's really come in to her own the last few weeks but her popularity has never really been tested so would be interesting to see what happens if she is in the middle of the leaderboard!

As much as I love him and Katya I think people will stop voting for them in the next couple of weeks and he will go!

A Rinder Rumba will also be interesting could be really beautiful or really cringey!
