Just popping on to say how brilliant it has been to watch Claudia and AJ, they have made Strictly 2016 for me and the final will have a pocket rocket shaped hole next week.

From start to finish it has been a pleasure to watch them grow as a partnership each week and to hear how AJ has built up Claudia's confidence warms the heart. AJ is a brilliant addition to Strictly and I hope we see him back next year.

The final won't be the same without them but I am looking forward to seeing them on ITT with Zoe, at least we will all get to see a proper exit interview from them.

Here's to Claudia and AJ, our winners of SCD 2016 xx

Doti fan here, popping by to say how disappointed I am for Claudia and AJ.
They acquitted themselves well and should be very proud of what they've achieved.
Bravo 👏👏👏

Only just caught up with the show!! Loved loved loved their quickstep!! Possibly my favourite dance of theirs and certainly my favourite of the night!! Should have been a 40 or a least a 39 as I doubt Craig would have ever given them a 10! Well done Claudia and Aj you definitely went out on a massive high 👏👏 and the final will be a duller place without you! I would have loved to have seen their Charleston again as it would have been a showstopper I'm sure!! Not to mention how amazing their showdance could have been!!

Plus (in my opinion of course) there is no way Ore's Argentine tango was better than our couples! No way!!!

Yes, their AT was the best of the series for me.

I was in tears! I'm not ashamed to say when Claudia said about her doing something outside gymnastics and all by herself, I bawled like a baby!

Both she and AJ have SO much to be proud of.

In a way I'm glad they were put out this week rather than reach the final and become a runner up. We got to see a fantastic ITT compilation and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do for the returning couples dance on final night!

You're so right! The red button interviews with Zoe after the final are always so brief and rushed, nice for them (and us) to have a proper goodbye!

Really lovely interview from them both on ITT. Think Claudia has grown so much more as a person and I am definitely going to be following her gymnastics career from now on. She's behaved impeccably throughout, putting in maximum effort and energy every week and never dropping her head about scoring, music choices etc and seems such a genuine girl.

It would have been great to watch their showdance but I don't think they would have won so at least they went out on a high after doing so many great dances together.

Think AJ has done so well as well in this partnership too. Hope he is back next year!

Yes, it was certainly an emotional one! The main thing is both of them seem to have really enjoyed their Strictly experience this year

Such a lovely interview on ITT, agree that it's nice to see them get a proper send off. She really has grown so much in confidence and it's great to see, look forward to seeing them in the eliminated contestants dance in the final, sure they'll pull off a few tricks

Ore's was the worst AT of the series...

Anyway, I too am sad to see them go. Their rumba on saturday was harshly dealt with by judges who had made their minds up who they wanted in the final, HOWEVER well C&AJ danced...
They have taken it very very well.......and they are still very young.
I salute them!!

I've just finished watching it myself What lovely young people they are! Anyone who thinks AJ makes it all about him should watch it - generous, attentive & complementary - he rightly made that exit interview all about her. Loved them!

I just loved it when AJ said more than once, that their quickstep was EXCEPTIONAL..i think that was what he said!
And also thinking how hard it was for Claudia to look into his eyes, to please Darcy! Poor girl would have had a dreadful crick in her kneck! but they had some lovely tender moments between them, and not in a fawning way..just genuine trust and appreciation of each other.

Aww their itt interview both beautiful dancers and they had a wonderful partnership, I loved how encouraging AJ was, after every dance he made sure to let Claudia how great she was. Claudia improved so much and she is such a wonderful dancer, I will miss them and wish them all the best.

What a lovely interview on ITT, so proud of them both and how far they have come. I can't even begin to imagine how brilliant their showdance would have been

Just posting the link of their interview on ITT for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, thanks to Linda on YouTube. I can't stop watching it, they made Strictly for me this year Such memories though

Thought I'd share a positive comment made in another thread:

Indeed it was. I believe that the majority if not all, ballroom and latin trained dancers would have said that Claudia was best by far. I certainly did and all of my dancing friends including professionals did too. Many professionals on social media also agree .
Hopefully this is fine by Jennifer, if she reads this!

Completely agree with that comment. Her technique was by far the best, especially in ballroom. She had the most impeccable footwork and attention to detail. And those lines! Sadly Claudia never got the credit she deserved from the judges.

Reading comments like this make me even more annoyed about the lack of recognition she received from the judges! I am no trained dancer so wouldn't really know about the technique etc so it's nice to hear a professionals opinion

The comment quoted was made specifically in regards to the Quickstep. I am not sure the opinion on all the other ballrooms, but IMO, Claudia has been consistently good with her footwork. The QS was just the icing on the cake.

I agree with all the lovely comments on here, still sad that they didn't make the final and still a bit mad that they didn't really get the recognition and praise they deserved, the judges could be quite patronising to them at times! But alas, if they had to go at least they went out with a bang, their QS was by far the best dance of the night, period!

Its lovely to see that Claudia has gained so much confidence from the show and comes across such a lovely, polite, hardworking young lady, she really is an excellent role model. I really enjoyed her partnership with AJ and think he has been a credit to the show and has choreographed some stunning routines.....not always easy considering their height difference. I have re-watched that Salsa many times (my fave dance of the series!) as well as others.

I'm a big Gymnastics fan anyway so will be watching out for Claudia and hope to see her put a few new moves in her floor routine lol

Who will everyone be voting for now?
