I know exceedingly early days, but she seemed very out of place in the g to up dance and I doubt she'll Have any form Of existing fanbase. Plus she didn't seem that personable in the interview bits either.

Ed is the obvious first celeb out, but I think he could last at least a week or 2

Nah, I think she'll go quite far due, if nothing else, to Aljaz's popularity. Ed will be the week one goner.

She could get further just for being paired with Aljaz and her personality. And if there's improvement, she might get a 'journey'.

Will he though? ... everyone loves a trier. Think it will most likely be someone who is okay but middle of the tableish. Someone who's not bad but not that good either. It might be Laura as she and Gio are going to struggle. Could be Melvin.

If she wasn't partnered with Aljaz then yes, but Aljaz is pretty popular so she should survive a few weeks.

I think Daisy will be a bit pants, I also can't help thinking Greg won't be very good They LOOK lovely, but give the impression that they will be a bit stiff and awkward.

I felt a bit sorry for Natalie at getting Greg. He's a lovely guy, I'm sure, but he looks taller than the 6ft 2" that Wikipedia credits him with, and she is the only female pro unlikely to be completely dwarfed by him because she is 5ft 10". Pairing him with any of the others would be like putting Brendan and Claudia together. It wouldn't work. Actually, I don't think that it will work anyway because he looks very stiff and inhibited. Still, she might yet work her spells on him (and I mean that in a dancing way). I would like to see Natalie do well. She has been consistently one of the best pros for years, but has never won.

With the dance off in place I doubt it. Unless she is Fiona Phillips level bad, I expect the judges would save a young, attractive, tabloid-fodder female paired with a popular pro over most of the other Middle of the roaders. I think Daisy and Laura could be competing for a similar vote and I think Daisy is the more likeable of the two.

I presume you're talking about Ed Balls. I'm not sure, everyone loves a trier yes but he's also a politician, so sympathy might be in short supply.

Spot on, that's my impression too. And pretty young things tend to go further than first boot, even if they're not that good, ie, Rachel Riley. I agree that Daisy is the more likeable of the two, I'm getting really strong DVO/Clancy/Snowdon vibes off Laura...

Daisy just rubbed me up the wrong way - she seemed a bit full of herself.

As a result I was really disappointed when she was paired with my favourite Aljaz.

I thought Ed Balls looked embarrassed last night. Stuck in among all those entertainers and super fit pro dancers, he looked as if the thought, 'Oh my God, what have I let myself in for?' was foremost in his mind. He is this year's John Sergeant, of course. There again, everybody liked John Sergeant. He will do well to get half that level of popularity.

I only saw bits of her in the group dance and she looked OK to me. I think she'll be better at ballroom. I do think she might fade into the background a bit but as others have said, she's likely to survive the dance off early on. I know nothing about her though so she may end up having more personality than I got from her last night.

Thrilled Daisy's with Aljaz, she's even taller than I thought in her heels. Loved both their reactions.

I think they'll be lots of fun together and I'm hoping for some beautiful ballroom. She'll have to do well at some of the Latin dances too to be a final contender but either way I see them going a good distance in the competition *fingers crossed*.

Anton is too popular for Lesley to go first and I think she will have a big existing fanbase herself.

I don't see Daisy being very popular or Ed, so at the moment I think it will be between one of those two, but it's really hard to say before we see them dance with their partners.

Is Daisy's name made up? I only heard of a cow being named Daisy. And as any poet knows, cows low. Is Daisy the bovine stowaway of SCD?

Aljaz is my fave male pro so I hope she is good!

Sorry ... I was a bit slow in replying so I didn't end up replying to the post above (should have quoted it.)
If the public can keep Widdy in for a few weeks ... then I'm sure Ed will be okay for a while. He'll probably be bottom of the table which will galvanize votes. It depends on how he comes across.

I just couldn't take to her last night, she doesn't seem to have much personality. Although, to be fair it is early days, so maybe too soon to judge.

I don't think she will be the first one out though. Like others have said, being paired with Aliaj will keep her safe for a while.

I think Ed Balls will get the boot first.

I'd never heard of her before Strictly so was quite indifferent about her. But I have to say, I thought she came across quite well. I quite liked her. Couldn't gage much from the group dance for most of them. But then that will make the first show that bit more exciting I guess

I think she's definitely a first boot. Didn't come across particularly well, didn't look that great a dancer, nobody knows who she is.

I got that impression as well. I can see her being this year's Jamelia...good dancer, but unpopular with the public.
