I kind of thought that which worked well for TV (had me fooled but that is not difficult) but not necessary for the live audience - would be a bit flat and stupid I am thinking

Getting a ticket for any Strictly show is like finding the holy grail, the audience will put up with anything and stand and cheer when encouraged to do so.

maybe you mean acrobatics? Acrobatics is flying through the air. Aerobics is getting hot and sweaty. I could get hot and sweaty with either girl.
(I'll let you into a secret- it was probably not the Queen who dropped out of the helicopter at the olympics)

Aw no, my illusions are shattered!

I thought it might be a body double for Claudia's acrobatics but who knows? It was good fun.

I can attest to this!

It was indeed a stunt double, and the stunt part was filmed before the actual set-up, which is why we all sounded a bit confused.

I found this bit absolutely hilarious! Obviously it was a double and you could see the gag a mile off, but I don't care, it was funny!

I loved the long jumper joke too

Basically, I just love Claudia!

If by nothing else you could tell by a half arsed way she went in and out of it. And audience reaction was a bit mild, they were probably confused about what was going on.

The long jumper joke was hilarious. I was trying to work it out going Golf? Naga? and it was really really obvious
Tess also nailed 2 jokes. Ed Balls, months of hard labor and Mel The woman you will look up to. Has she ever managed a joke before?

Well she only has to speak it, they are written for her. Probably the same for Claudia but her ad-libs are often better. "In a good way."

Indeed, Tess reading out a joke without killing it mid-way through because she's read it all wrong or just too straight-faced is quite the achievement.

Her only 'ad-lib moment' that made me laugh was the whole Marky No-Mates mistake she made about Mark Wright instead of saying Marky No-Moves.

Claudia is far superior at reading out the gags and going off-piste with the script too. That's what makes her the better presenter by far.

I must have missed this. Was this something that happened on the launch show? I only saw the second half of it.

They showed how the celebs met the dancers for the first time. Then Tess and Claudia in the studio did a link about pairing another batch of female celebs, Claudia the gymnast was among them. Tess said that Claudia may even show a few gymnastic elements. Claudia said 'You only have to ask', she made a move as if going into a cartwheel , they widened the shot and we could see "Claudia" to do cartwheels away from Tess, then back to her and then she did a split. Then they cut back to detail to show Claudia getting up. Tess said "Not you, Claudia the gymnast". And then Claudia said "Now she tells me." I thought it was hilarious
