I voted Will & Karen, but for the first time ever I'm exited to see all the pairings.

I don't think there's anyone I'm not at least a little bit excited to see. Crikey, even Lesley might have something up her sleeve!

I'm a bit worried for Ed, but hope he surprises people; likewise Greg and Nat, who I desperately want to succeed.

The Claudia and AJ combo could be fantastic or terrible.

Loving Anastacia, Ore and Naga at the moment, so I have everything crossed for these three.

Perhaps I'm least invested in Melvin/Janette and Will/Karen, but if they dance beautifully, that could change.

As a Natalie fan, I can finally be excited about potential run for her. Feels like ages since I've been excited about her Strictly.

These couples seem popular, but initially they don't do much for me personally. I just hope Laura and Daisy don't turn out like Sophie E.B., as in beautiful women but dance wise (and to an extent natural emotion and acting wise) not enough to create a greater connection with even if they're perfectly nice people. I would like to feel something, and hopefully I will!

I've scarcely heard her even being mentioned. Everyone seems to be blabbering on about this Daisy Lowe person, whom I'd never even heard of before... and someone called Laura Whitmore who apparently has been paired up with Giovanni for no better reason than because he has recently split up with Georgia and apparently she and Georgia are friends.

Almost half of this year's celebrities this year are people I have never heard of before. I don't watch a lot of TV, which may account for some of this.

As if they care about Gio's romantic situation ... they are just as likely to have paired him with Laura if he WAS still with Georgia. More likely in fact. They paired Pasha with Caroline after he got together with Rachel. It would give the tabloids much more to talk about .... now, he's a free agent so who cares? It can't be referred to under the umbrella 'Strictly curse.'
I feel sorry for Laura and Gio that they're starting under a cloud. Nobody else is. Hope they soon shake off the tabloid crap. It's nonsense anyway.

<jumps up and down> I thought when the celebs were announced, pre split, that Laura was a shoo in for Giovanni - and I've just discovered that my mate you 'just' watches Strictly and then wanders off to do other things for 9 months' didn't even know that Georgia and Giovanni had been a couple, let alone split!

I only mention it because it's the sort of story which might well have been trumped up to raise the profile of this particular dancing duo. Much as I enjoy the spectacle of Strictly, I really couldn't give a stuff about all the pretendy "dramas" that go along with it. I do however believe that a lot of *stuff* IS trumped up and given a lot of attention in order to make certain individuals more high profile than others. It's a pity really because the show is enjoyable enough on its own merits without all this nonsense.

Yes, I do believe that Claudia will be the last woman/girl standing.

Laura and Daisy are mostly mentioned for the tabloid potential (and having good looking dance partners). Would imagine that Claudia will be much better technically then them (and based on the group dance, much better in latin then Daisy at the very least).

And I think that the older female viewer is much more likely to vote for her (the small young females usually do very good; not counting Tiny Tina).

Yours was a simple error but it's both disappointing and astonishing that he couldn't even be bothered to find out her name before posting that.

Greg and Natalie. Because i'm desperate for Nat to have a contender
Judge Rinder and Oksana. He made me laugh out loud on several occasions.

I voted for Robert Rinder and Oksana in the poll. I'm hoping it could be a genius partnership

Really hope Ore and Jo Clifton win as I think it looks like a great partnership and can't wait to see them dance.

Before the pairing up my vote would have gone to Will - not sure I like that partnership.

Putting him with Joanne is a masterstroke. People here were not sure about him at all before Saturday so I am made up by the highly positive reaction he has been getting since
