EastEnders theory on Lee's exit
This week they were filming Lee and Whitney's wedding which should air the first week of November.
I think following weeks after the wedding will also mark Linda's last appearance before she goes on leave so it got me thinking that Lee will die on his wedding day hence Linda fleeing Walford to deal with her grief. Maybe Lee dies by suicide or by some other tragic event leaving Whitney all on her own to bring up the kid. I just wonder if EE are brave enough to have a character kill themselves. |

It would be an interesting way to go, and would fit with his depression. I'm just not sure if the writers are portraying the illness correctly as it is anyway.
Perhaps he'll die in a different way though? |

I do agree about him dying on his wedding day, but can see him getting run over by a car after marrying Whitney, rather than the suicide route. I really can't see Lee leaving, without being killed off, considering how happy Lee and Whitney are.
I think Whitney will raise the baby with the help of Linda and Mick, if she doesn't lose it. Lee and Whitney are one of my favourite soap couple, so still disappointed with the decision to axe Lee

I think they will go for a safe option and just have Lee do a runner and remain estranged from his family.

If he died it would have more scope for the Carter's and Whitney.

I can see him dying on his wedding day, but suicide is too depressing.
I've argued for a long time that killing off one of the Carter kids would be an interesting route for Mick and Linda to go down. |

I hope they don't kill him off..it's a shame he's been axed as it would have been nice to see a character living with depression but who has a happy ending, for want of a better phrase

Lee dying and leaving Whitney as a single parent gives loads of scope storyline wise. I hope that is what they do as I have always rated Shona.

Is he leaving this soon? If he leaves on screen in November (in whatever way they decide), it would give Linda a reason to not be on the Square for a while. If Lee dies, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for Linda to not want to be somewhere that reminds her of him - i.e. the pub. She could then go and stay with Elaine.

My friend who works on the writing team has told me Lee accidentally runs downJack, which is a catalyst for Max to return, Ronnie and Roxy to leave, Linda to take the blame and be sent down for a while, and Lee to go on the run.
Get ready to hate Max. He stops speaking to Abi and Lauren (until at least Christmas), and there is a 2 hander with him and Jane where he pushes her to the floor and torments her, before the pair are tearfully united in their grief and snog. |

I reckon it'll be fairly low key.
Elaine will go on a round the world cruise and give Lee and Whitney her pub to run. Linda will go to help them set up, then return in the new year as Elaine returns from her cruise wanting to move in with Mick and Linda at the Vic. I think Whitney's exit is being kept as a surprise. |

The actor is leaving but the character of Lee might stick around. All they need to do is make a cardboard cutout of him and whip it out when needed. No one will notice the difference.

That sounds a nicer idea, but ray of sunshine Elaine coming back and moving into the pub? Oh God, no.

More like he decides the respinsibilities of being a husband and father are too much and he does a runner to wherever Nancy is.

At least come up with BS that makes sense.

""Although as he is part of the Carter family, no one should rule out a return. Danny-Boy has openly said he only ever had a three year plan so although this has come a little sooner, no one doubts he is bound to land another big role soon."
http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/east...as-lee-carter/ BIB doesn't this mean he won't die? Or is this a press lie to conceal his actual death? |

Personally, I'd like to see Lee hang himself ( I know that's morbid) but I think topping himself would be the only way for him to go. It was quite recent that they used an overdose to kill someone so a good old fashioned noose would do the trick.
