Mmm, yes am sure they do

being serious, I totally agree, why can't he be called Judge Rinder, it's what most people know him as

Oops I meant stage.

Opinions differ and those differences should be respected.

I started a thread after launch night on this very subject and the vast majority of posters agreed that the man has a name. Imho the BBC is to blame for pushing this 'Judge' nonsense both on the show and on the website.

The BBC, by calling him Judge Rinder, are actually advertising an ITV show!

I'm sure he's been consulted or even asked what name he wants to go under.
If it doesn't matter to him it really shouldn't matter to anyone else.

I hope they just cut the judiciary puns, it's going to get old very fast.

By that criteria, referring to Goldie, DJ Spoony and Lulu were also advertising whatever they were doing in whatever medium they were doing it.

As has been said, has he complained? He didn't look cross when Claudia called him Judge last night? I didn't think so.

I'm just so glad they called him Judge Rinder on both the show and in the title sequence.

It was the right thing to do as it is what he is best known as. I'm just glad they did it as it's clearly annoyed those frothing at the mouth who only call people by their actual name and not whatever the person is happy with.

Robert is clearly happy with Judge and that is that.

Who cares, its just a name and if it really bothers anyone then why are they not posting on here under there real names ... whats good for the goose is good for the gander or so they say

Indeed. It's a fair point to make. Double standards me thinks!

At least I use my real name!

I am doing that so since my first name is Diamond and my second name is Doll.

Oh please.

I always think Judge Rinder because that's his showbiz name.

Seems the cat ladies are finding a new thing to moan about along with the Cliftons.

I don't know about all this whoo-ha over what name to use. I've only ever seen him referred to in print and therefore just getting my head around discovering Rinder is pronounced r-IN-der not r-IGH-nder

Just tongue in cheek

I was referring to the minority of DS that always seems to be filing it nails waiting to moan and bitch about anything from the show.

Like the way they went for Susanna Reid / Cliftons / Now the pretentious outage that the show is calling him "Judge" Rinder when that is what nearly all the UK know him as.

Hang on, if they are calling him Judge Rinder, that must be because that's the desire of him and his people. They didn't call Lulu Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie either.

Who are they ? Surely the board is all about opinions ? In my opinion its daft to call a man Judge Rinder when his name is Robert .
I liked Susanna Reid and not in the slighest bothered about the Cliftons . So what group am I in ?

Oh c'mon not everything on SCD is sugery and glittery and loverly . It's paronising to the viewers to be calling someone by the name of a show he's in .

By your argument they should call all the celeb from the soaps by their soap names .

BIB - He should be so lucky. I am with those, who think that he should be called Robert and BBC should stop advertising an ITV show.
