I don't know if you remember the thread I done back in 2012 when I said James Arthur is the one to beat, (link below). Most of the forum didn't agree.

Well this how I feel with Niall Sexton. His Voice is incredible. And I'm very excited with what's coming ahead with him. From his first audition that we seen, we wasn't shown his full ability, that was just a teaser. There is more to come from him. Also at 16/1 & 20/1 at an opening price, That is quite generous.

Il be honest the only danger to him would be the brooks if they did progress any further. Any other artist I don't think stand a chance. Comment your thoughts below.

Hmm, not sure, I think he'll do well if he makes the lives but I honestly think its too early to say, kayleigh and caitlyn are contenders as are Kristian and Janet.

And i'm not sure The Brooks would be that much competition, I genuinely don't remember anything about them from the season they were in, only reason i've heard of them is that article about Sinitta being their manager

Am I the only one who thinks Niall looks like he could be James Arthurs younger brother?

Have to admit, I didn't expect that voice when he started singing as it wasn't like his speaking voice but I was quite surprised in a good way.

Impressive how you picked out James Arthur so early on. For me, Ella Henderson was my winner until she got voted off the show. Only then did James become my favourite and that was by default because I thought the rest of the 2012 final 5 were all crap (granted Rylan has made it as a TV presenter but as a X Factor contestant I didn't get why he was there - makes sense now I suppose!!!).

I was at James Arthur's audition in Newcastle and failed to spot him as a potential winner, so my opinion isn't worth much. But I can't see this guy winning it.

Much preferred Conor Mc Ginity.

I think that Matt Terry will win if he makes it far enough, his voice and look is the most general public friendly out of the ones that I've heard so far.

I wouldn't go that far, although he was quite good. I've been away and have missed quite a lot but from what I've seen, all the contestants I like so far are female.

Have to agree with this. The male contestants so far are very ordinary.

After reading how he was the one to watch out for tonight on here and the build up with a succession of useless people before him, I was ready for him to wow me. I watched both him and the one afterwards (Conor?) and thought they were both extremely 'meh'.
I was expecting a awful lot more and I wasn't overly impressed

I hadn't read anything before I watched the show. I thought both boys were quite good but not great.

I swear you bring up that James Arthur reference every time you post, yet somehow forgotten your Miss Dynamix prediction

Niall is one of my personal favourites right now as I really enjoy his voice. Do I think he could win? Not sure right now as he's not exactly had a brilliant start (his cover of Gravity was below average at best) so will have to see if he gives a wow worthy performance soon, albeit he's irish so will probably get the irish vote if he makes the live shows.

Hate his voice, so affected and sounds like a James Blunt wannabe

He didn't stand out to me in any way .Good luck to him, because he seems likeable enough, and clearly enjoys singing, but I am not expecting much more from him than he has already shown, which is a pleasantly mediocre voice .

He was decent enough, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Niall's a good singer, but I did hear some flattish notes though. That might have been nerves though.

You haven't seen Marianna Zappi's audition then? She's a great singer. She has a beautiful voice.

I haven't a clue what that's supposed to mean. Anyway, you said that any other artist wouldn't stand a chance? I'm guessing you mean other singers in the competition.
