That he might dispel any initial awkwardness with banter, create dancefloor chemistry with Laura , some good routines and at least make it to Blackpool?

Yes, I think the awkwardness that was there in the launch show will go, once they relax and get to know each other. I'd hope they'd make it to Blackpool. I'm going to guess at getting to the quarter final. There's a lot of potentially good and popular dancers this year, so even presuming she's good (which I have no idea) they may not end up being super popular compared to those with big fan bases like Will.

As I say it's entirely open to interpretation - she may well have meant exactly what you say ... after all if there's anything the tabloids love it's trying to create a story out of nothing usually by twisting words. I was initially surprised that Kristina would make these comments, I'm sure she was very supportive of both Georgia and Giovanni last year, so perhaps I'm more inclined to agree with your interpretation of what was said.

This is just another article (there have been many in recent days) trying to make as big a deal out of this as possible - I'll take the advice from Georgia on Twitter last night and 'not believe the c**p" I read in them!

I did think Laura came across very well on the show last night, and I'd be very surprised if she wasn't in until the final few weeks of the competition.

Oh, I thought there was some public drama, based on the respnses on here.

I'm sure Kristina was supportive of Georgia and Giovanni last year but having worked on the show herself she understands it's now about the new series, Giovanni fully establishing himself and that it's his job to support, teach and showcase Laura whatever is happening in his personal life.

I'm sure she does, and also understands it wouldn't be fair on Laura to have to spend her time on Strictly dogged by stories of romance - as I say, that's why I'm more inclined now to perhaps think she didn't mean anything...

Or how the blandest of comments can be fluffed into a headline.

Did you read what she actually said in the article?

I'm guessing not.

I think it's more the case that the break up is very recent and still appears to be raw. Laura is friendly with Georgia and an attractive young, single woman. The perceived insensitivity is the BBC putting newly single Gio with Laura at all and inviting tabloid mischief-making, while Georgia watches on. Just a bit awks, that's all .

(And given the Mirror's slant on what was probably innocuous commentary from Kristina, I can understand Georgia's fans feeling protective).

Poor Kristina . I hate how the press always has it out for her .

Believe it or not, she's actually really lovely. One of nicest pros that this show ever had.

Poor Laura ... what a rubbish situation she's been thrown into. Really awkward.
Hope the pair of them can rise above it and stay in the comp long enough for people to see their potential.

Blame the creeps producing the show .

Laura has a boyfriend . I've seen Laura presenting the 'I'm a Celeb' aftershow and she's a no nonsense girl, so I'm expecting the pairing to be likewise .

I think she has the makings of a good dancer, just a shame she wasn't paired with Aljaz .

I agree - I felt sorry for her - they threw her under the tabloid bus. But as others have said - she seems like the kind of person not to be messed with

I can't see anything intrinsically wrong with what she has said.
Georgia and Gio met on the show and enjoyed a romance so what's so wrong in talking about it happening again?

I hope so too, I do also think Laura & Giovanni and Anastacia & Brendan are the better matches dance and mentor wise though. I can't agree with those saying the producers have treated them badly as if they're now in totally unsuitable partnerships.

Some might say ... (tho I couldn't possibly be included in this)...
it was always a fauxromance... they have both made a lot of money from all the interviews they have given ...and now the new series has started ...time to move on...etc.
