I can't help but feel that Georgia's twitter activity has been a bit overblown. Georgia has sent one Strictly related tweet today wishing all the celebs and pros good luck, nothing more than that. She's also quickly chatted to Katie Derham about her legs hurting after doing the Jive. And then has liked two Strictly related tweets - which together have been liked over 200 times, so I don't think they're probably going to notice she's liked it.

I don't think she can be accused of not letting the new celebrities get on with it - she's just giving them her support!

Yes, that could well be reason enough - but of course it's only Georgia who knows what is best for her well being. All I know is that it would be blooming difficult to split with your boyfriend one week, and partly because of it lose all interest in a show that you absolutely love the next week! I don't deny that it may be best if she forgets about it, but am still confused as to why she should be considering it unhelpful to Laura/Gio.

I LOVE Laura's accent and could listen to an Irish lilt all day long - hopefully Giovanni can as well because I'm thinking she's a bit of a chatterbox ”

Ha ha yes Laura's said herself she doesn't stop talking, wonder how he'll keep up when he meets her Irish family

Reckon they're going to have lots of fun as a partnership.

Talk about double standards???

Gio was being insensitive when he tweeted about his Strictly journey?? Some others can't do anything wrong.

We've had this discussion and it wasn't the fact that he was talking about Strictly that perceived by some to be insensitive, it was the fact he talked of a 'new journey' 2 days after breaking up with his previous partner that was perceived to be insensitive by some.

Regardless of your views on the rights and wrongs of that, I'm curious to know what point you're actually trying to make here?

Ah, to be honest I feel a bit sorry for her in that respect. She will have been part of the build up, looked forward to it starting and has friends other than Giovanni involved in it - and then it's whipped away too.

I agree about the social media stuff, but I think she's in a bit of a catch 22 situation with it really. When does she take over from Pixie? Hopefully that is soon and she can narrow her focus with Strictly just on the periphery for her.

She comes over really well, talking about her love of the feeling dancing gives her and of Strictly as a show from the first series as well as the lovely group of people she's getting to know. Laura says how happy she is to be paired with Giovanni having watched him on the show last year and describing him as talented and one of the best dancers and choreographers on the show.

I think this fun, feisty lady will write her own Strictly story and not let other people write it for her.

Can't wait to see some training footage”

Yes I think that's right - she's bright enough to write her own Strictly story and I'm sure hasn't let the tabloids phase her. She seems nice - I'd never seen her in anything before now.

Yes, but to be fair to him - he was actually sat in the Strictly Studio It was fairly obvious what he meant. Sometimes, social media white knighting needs to catch itself on really (not you, btw - the people who actually tweeted him to berate him and inform him of the error of his ways).

Hi Ochre . Are you happy with Jo and Ore??. I was supporting Laura, but not now, for obvious reasons. Hoping Naga will survive a few weeks and Danny will last till the final.

I have only seen her an odd time on the I'm a Celebrity spin off show. She is a feisty lady

I agree, one of the perils of social media is you can potentially be very easily misconstrued.

As I say, I was more wondering what kind of link Sarah was trying to draw in her post

I agree with this. Whilst it would do her good to detach, it must be hard not least as she's been so involved with everyone up until a week or so ago. She takes over from Pixie in a couple of weeks and as you say, that will hopefully be good in helping her detach somewhat

I have found following her Twitter account quite painful (yes I have letting go issues as well ) Without wishing to hash over ollllddd ground, I don't see her a sweet little innocent who "fell in love". I think there was a great deal more to it than that but that's by the by. She does seem to be genuinely devastated by the break up and who hasn't been there? I have and I am fervently glad that I did not have the opportunity to post lovelorn messages for others to see. She posted a photo of herself looking lonely and wearing a mermaid kind of outfit (can't believe I've just posted that) and if that wasn't a "I AM SO UNHAPPY, PLEASE LOVE ME" post then I don't know what was. So yes, I do feel sorry for her in that respect but I also firmly believe that someone should surgically remove that 'phone/tablet from her hands and tell her to step away from Twitter and Instagram.

My point is that some of the people who defended Georgia going holiday on with her new BF, just days after breaking up are now complaining about Gio's tweet about his new Strictly series??.

Yes thrilled Joanne's with Ore! So I can't be disappointed Will got Karen even though I don't think I'll warm to their partnership now.

Also excited about Daisy and Aljaz as well as Laura and Giovanni. My first impressions of Danny aren't great But I love Oti so we'll see.

We share the same perception that Georgia is genuinely devastated by the break up and I think that it explains a lot of her reaction on social media.

In the interests of balance she has been very supportive to him and Laura in the past few days - https://twitter.com/georgiafoote/sta...49851287068674

I don't think it's for me to speculate about the events towards the end of that particular relationship, especially considering the serious allegations that came to light.

GG fans were saying "People fall in love and fall out of love, that is life." It will be good if they just reminded themselves that.

That quotation is very true!

Most casual Strictly viewers won't even know Georgia and Giovanni were together inbetween series or read articles about their relationship. They'll be interested in watching Giovanni and Laura on the dancefloor and Laura's already making it clear that's what she's focused on sounding determined to make the most of her Strictly experience.

Why are the fans still going round and round the break up round about??. Acknowledge the break up and get off the round about.

I know Georgia was a bit stupid for starting a relationship with Giovanni who is a strictly come dancing dancer and we will never know the truth about how George and sean broke up , but Georgia is upset that Giovanni ended the relationship according in the new magazine so give Georgia some space

As far as I'm aware, fans have generally acknowledged that the break up has happened, but many still are searching for answers as to why the break up happened. For many, this break up is something which has genuinely upset them and it's not the sort of thing that they can just leave alone, or 'get off' as you term it - and I think that's an entirely understandable reaction.

As a point of clarity, when I said that 'quotation is very true', I was referring only to the specific quote you've given supposedly from the GG fans. Typical me, try to be clever in a response then shoot myself in the foot!

If I am not mistaken, Fusion was referring to Kristina.

I really want to like Kristina, and I've defended her in the past - but she certainly doesn't do herself many favours. Just keep to yourself when you're already under public scrutiny for previous indiscretions...
