Soap flings that would have worked in the long run
Over the years, quite a few soap characters have a one off or a fling with another character, and actually happen to have loads of chemistry with each other (particularly during affairs when they sometimes have more chemistry with each other than their actual characters). For me, I think Phil and Tanya had chemistry during their date a few years back when he was in the rebound from Sharon and that would have been nice to see

Masood and Jane. Thought they were sweet together. Why Jane would prefer Ian over Masood I don't know.

Poor Tanya.
At one time I really thought Stacey was far better with Kush than Martin. Another one that I think would have worked was Ronnie and Vincent. Charlie was a better fit for Roxy. Forgot Kat and Michael. I liked their relationship and it would have been interesting to see her go in another direction. |

Nick and Kylie in 2013
They were close, they had a great chemistry, she worked in the bistro, they always had scenes together, the seeds were sown to get them together after she dumped David. But instead they made Kylie single for a bit and had Nick pining after Leanne I thought it would have been a good twist to have Kylie slowly falling in love with Nick, or vice versa (they did have a lot of moments) but then they decided to put David back with Kylie, and after she got fired from the bistro the Nick and Kylie scenes stopped and they hardly ever interacted! She was good with David but I also think Kylie would have been good with Nick |

I would have said these two as well. I never liked after their one night stand the characters barely interacted. I also liked the pairing with David but also thought she suited Nick as well.
It felt like the writers were building the story up for Nick and Kylie to eventually fall in love with each other and end up together but it never happened! |

I know they weren't very popular together but I really liked Ian and Denise as a couple on eastenders i was disappointed when they split them up and had Ian reunite with Jane.
On Neighbours I think Paige and Tyler make a good couple. Sadly it would seem the writers only intend for them to be a rebound fling and are shipping the pairings of Paige and Jack and Tyler and Piper. |

I did like the pairing of Zoe Slater and Jamie Mitchell (who was seeing Sonia at the time).
