CS:
Dev and Kim Tate (I can't even remember her name) zzzz
And I agree about Kathy and Roy, mind you I am not huge fans of either characters.

I always wonder why the hell Claire King has chosen to return to soap acting to play what is little more than a glorified extra in Corrie? Surely Emmerdale would have had her back? She's the show's most iconic character!

As always, Jabes, your undying love for Lauren is by far the most interesting thing about her character.

Can't believe I forgot about Zak and Joanie and Roy and Cathy. Both dreadful pairings.

Also, Belle and Dr. Bailey in ED. Totally unrealistic couple and a bit creepy to boot. Emmerdale has had some bizarre pair ups of late but this has to be one of the worst.

David and Tracy- With David ask Tracy to marry him, I mean come on he can't force her.

Chesney and Sinead- no chemistry, CS better get their arse off the couch and split them up.
Maria and Luke- no chemistry again, usually dislike Maria for reason.

Sonia and Tina- At first I like them but I start to get bored of their relationship.
Steven and Lauren- I prefer Lauren with Peter, I dislike Steven already.”

Agree about Maria & Luke, they never had any chemistry, she had more in her 10 minute liaison with Aidan than in two years with Luke!!
Hope they don't reunite them.....whatever Audrey says!!

Agree. Personally I would put David and Carly together

Disagree with those saying steve and michelle in corrie. I like them togethwr. They were sweet laid on the sofa the other night.

Ches and Sinead, he has more chemistry with Gemma.

Ian and Jane in Eastenders

Edit. Eva and Aiden. I prefer his scenes with Maria and think they work better as a pairing

Emmerdale- Zak and Joanie, David and Tracy, Belle and Dr Bailey.

Sonia & Tina
I love Tina, but hate they put her with dreary Sonia. Put her with someone as lively as Tina.

Lauren and Steven
Just awful.

Marlon & Carly
I know opposites attract but Carly would have been better matched to David. I suspect the idea behind pairing her with Marlon is more to do with having her be a mother figure to April than anything.

David and Tracy
Not a bad match, but not a great one either

Zak and Joanie
Enough said!

Dev and Erica
I still think he would be better with Mary

Ches and Sinead
The dullest couple in soap!

Agree with the vast majority of the above.

CS Roy & Cathy - As others have said there is no way he would have started a relationship with someone else after Hayley died. He's not the type to just move on so quickly. Unlike Ken who was sniffing around Cathy's sister and Audrey when Deirdre was barely cold.

ED Marlon & Carly - wtf

ED Cain & Charity - yes they have chemistry but I preferred him with Moira. At least with Moira she wasn't roping him in to yet another steal a car scheme

H&A - VJ & Billie apart from the fact that I thought VJ was still only 15 when they got together (it seems they aged him up to 17 without me realising it) I just don't see why she would be attracted to him. I know in the beginning she needed to find someone she could pass off her baby as their offspring onto but apart from that he is so immature.

Quite a few at the minute:

Denise and Kush (Eastenders) - they wrote Kush/Shabnam so well that i don't think i'm ever truely going to like him with anyone else and i find this whole 'thing' with Denise abit cringey (i know a lot of people like them together but i've found everything lately about Denise to be a desperate ploy by the producers to shake off the 'underused' tag but for me personally none of it is very good).

Sonia and Tina (Eastenders) - initially great but Tina treats her like some glorifyed skivvy and i'm surprised by the amount of negative comments i see about Sonia as shes behaved much better throughout this Sylvie storyline than any of the precious Carters.

Steven and Lauren (Eastenders) - after the initial shock of them returning together there's just nothing between them. Him and Johnny have potential but him and Lauren have hit a deadend very quickly.

Patrick and Claudette (Eastenders) - i always got the impression she was supposed to be much younger than him not to mention the fact he almost killed her and knows what an evil witch she can be which he seems to just be ignoring lately. Just seem to have been paired up for the sake of it.

Eva and Aidan (Coronation Street) - have always felt very forced and this thing with Maria has shown Aidan can be quite a good character, just not when he's lumbered with Eva.

Roy and Cathy (Coronation Street) - should have just stayed friends/companions.

David and Tracy (Emmerdale) - he belongs with Leyla, this Tracy obsession has made him highly annoying and the never ending proposals are less romantic and more harassment level.

Adam and Victoria (Emmerdale) - make Ches and Sinead from Corrie look positively riveting!

Steph and Mark (Neighbours) - never had any chemistry, shes stringing him along with the hint she *might* want another baby one day (even though she doesn't) and he belongs with Paige anyway!

Paige and Jack (Neighbours) - not really a couple but practically. Both drop dead gorgeous but that isn't enough to make them a good match. Her obsession with him is annoying (he's all she ever talks about lately), she was better suited to Mark and she's just become very unlikeable since this 'pairing' happened.

Brad and Lauren (Neighbours) - he chose Beth over her back in the day, now they act like they were destined to be together and that Terese and Matt were just detours on the way to true love! She'd have been more interesting if she had had an affair with Ned!

Maxine and Adam (Hollyoaks) - dreary Maxine really is presented like some sort of catch of the century on Hollyoaks!

Zack and Holly (Hollyoaks) - still not watching the show but read somewhere they kissed, hope it went nowhere as they'd be terrible together!

There aren't that many couples in Home and Away at the present and the ones that are i don't really have any strong opinions on one way or the other.

Another vote for Emmerdale's Moron and Carly (she should have been paired up with David, or reunited with Ross)

Corrie's Luke and Dreary Maria; he could do so much better (such as Andy, but that'll never happen), but at least that has come to an end.

my thought when i saw this thread was joanie/zak I mean why is that even a thing can emmerdale hurry up and do what they essentially did with mmarllon/laurel and put zak back with lisa and pretend it never happened

Joe and Joanne- Hollyoaks

I like Brad and Lauren too. And I'm not totally against Zak and Joanie either.

Worst for me would be Belle and the doctor on Emmerdale, just an awful pairing that never should have happened.

I always preferred Eva and Nick on Corrie. Eva and Aidan look good together but they don't have much chemistry.

Oh god I'm glad I'm not only one who find Belle and Doctor Bailey so awful pair.

Adam and Victoria are bad but not as bad as Chesney and Sinead. Victoria should be with someone younger and honestly Adam should be with Aaron. Aaron is the only character Adam has ever had romantic chemistry with.

Maxine and Adam have decent chemistry, but she has treated him like crap and she's a walking disaster with an IQ so low she makes Kirk on Corrie look like Einstein. Adam should stay far away for his own sake.

Zack and Holly did sleep together but he's with Fake Lisa now. I have a feeling Holly will end up pregnant giving Cindy and Simone something to fight about.

I could believe in them as a naughty shag. But as a serious couple? No way.

The two that immediately sprang to mind for me are ED's David/Tracy and obvs Zac and Joanie. And given all the other mentions here, we can't all be wrong!

Lots of other good ones mentioned too, I totally agree also with Adam and Victora (so dull, if there was ever an example of a couple that *should* work on screen but just doesn't its them - its not even that they are a bad match, it just falls so flat IMO, like watching paint dry). Also agree wiith CS's Cathy and Roy, Eva and Aiden for all the reasons mentioned.

Where I disagree...Carly and Marlon. LOVE that pairing. Its really sweet and I can see it working. But then I've always had a soft spot for Marlon and I've noticed he isn't very popular here.

I also kind of disagree with Chesney and Sinead. Although, admittedly lately they have been exceedingly boring, I did initially really like them together. They just need a proper storyline or something going on - both separately and as a couple.
