To me, Louise seems the sort of celeb who would have been paired with Robin Windsor, if he was still on hand holding and confidence boosting duty.
They would have made a nice match. I could see Louise with Tristan, too.

I hope Louise finds a bit of passion for it all.... 😬

Totally agree Sarah.
Good morning Lou Which celeb did you get in the office sweepstakes?. I am really surprised that you don't visit the 'Spoiler thread' on Saturday nights. I live for that one.

Sorry guys for being off topic.

Good morning! I've got Melvin .... I am not optimistic of a win! I always pick one for my husband as well so that he has a financial interest at least and he has Claudia

I've always loved the surprise element but knowing all you guys knew the pairings made it pretty tempting last week

I like to choose which threads I reply to.
I'm sure many others do as well.
And the search function on here has been temperamental for over a year now.

I think Kevin has been unfairly favoured.
He has been given contenders each time and seems to have been pushed to the front of things. He should have been given lesley Joseph this year and Anton should have been given Tameka.
And just like I dislike being told which thread I should post in, I dislike being told which Pro dancer is marvellous.
I find him over the top in his behaviour in the Clauditorium, and I find his dancing OTT as well.
Joanne - I find to be very childlike in her behaviour. Little girl voice and all that is very annoying.
However when she was on ITT I saw a different side to her.

The point is I feel that "The Cliftons" are being rammed down our throats as being collectively wonderful, and I hate being told what to like.
I want to make up my own mind.

I don't need James Jordan to help me do it either.
Kevin needs to tone down a bit and maybe he won't annoy so many people.
It's like having a hyperactive toddler going off on one all the time, and I just think, 'for goodness sake, quieten down a bit.'
Hi, Chita *waves"

No one is saying you or anyone else needs to like the Cliftons, nor is there anything wrong with expressing that dislike. The problem is not that people dislike them but the viciously nasty and vitriolic way in which many people choose to express that dislike.

As for pairing someone else with Anton, in my opinion, and no one needs to agree with me on this, it would be a shame to waste anyone with potential on Anton -- and Tameka looks like having potential, if only she can tone down the personality just a smidgeon. Actually, even Lesley looks like having potential, it'll be stamina she'll be lacking in comparison to the younger celebs. (Isn't is a shame Ed couldn't have been paired with Anton? ) Louise is quiet and quite reserved, so perhaps Kevin will dial back the enthusiasm more with her than he would have done with Lesley, who is also extrovert. It's always something to hope for

(By the way, according to an interview with Kevin and Joanne last year, Joanne's little girl voice isn't affected, it's actually the way she speaks naturally. She's had voice coaching to help her correct it, but I'm not sure to what extent it helped.)

Going completely off topic, that has made me think, what if Tristan was in the show and had been paired with Holly Vallance when she did it? I can only imagine the team tags: "Team Cantbearsed", "Team Plainlazy", "Team Dontgiveashit". It would be amazing!

Sorry to disappoint you my friend, I think Melvin will be out within the first few weeks.
On the other side, I think Claudia will make it to the final and if everything goes well,
sure to win.

BIB I just can't wait, knowing there is a spoller thread. Sometimes when we go out on Saturday nights and get back, only thing I check is the spoiler thread. just to make sure my fav is safe for another week.

I hate the Clfton show and that they all have contenders so will probably all last a while
Joanne's voice gets on my wick as its like a 5 year old
Kevin is so up his own cocky backside its unbelievable& his dance style is better suited to DWTS
Karen I don't mind but having all 3 on the same series is a no,no just to put it out there if it was fair since they all have contenders this year should get duffers next year whats the chances of that happening? I tell you now 0%

Since we're talking about Cliftons, Karen and Kevin were on Mr & Mrs All Stars, snd they were so funny.

Thanks for the link, just watched it yesterday. Made me smile, they certainly know each other well. I like all three Cliftons, Karen has grown on me she has a lot of patients wither her partners even those not naturally gifted and has stayed friends with them since. They seem like a lovely (Hyper) couple.

Jo explained the dance moves when she took over from Karen on ITT. So even i understood them.

I am staring to see the favouritism towards the Clifton clan, similar to that of Derek, Mark and the former Julianne on DWTS.

Karen deserved a decent partner, but I would have put her with Melvin and Kevin, 100% needed an older lady, either Lesley or even Naga.

Joanne, I want to like so badly, but her OTT in the launch show with Ore made me cringe slightly and I'm less hopeful after her routines and choreography with Scott.

I think the producers need to be careful. Karen started off "iffy" shall we say, with Nicky and her choreography. Kevin started off a favourite but is slowly losing his popularity due to getting decent partners per series.

I think the Cliftons all seem like really nice, upbeat, fun people and all are kind to and considerate of their dance partners. On a human level, nothing else matters in the great scheme of things.

I find it hard to understand the criticism of them for being lively, confident and joyous. They have brought a great deal to Strictly during the years they have taken part and clearly they are seen to be an integral part of the show's ongoing success.

it's a skewed and weird world we live in when being nice, being positive and being really good at something means you are "fair game" for a lot of fairly pointless and undeserved criticism.

I tend to save that sort of impassioned vitriol for really talentless, vacuous, scabby riff-raff like the Kardashian Krew, none of whom would be fit to even polish the shoes of any of the Cliftons.

Agree ^^^

Also the whole Kevin has had ringers every year, I wouldn`t say that Susanna Reid at first thought would have made it so far, she was an older lady that year, also last year Kellie Bright could have been a duffer.

The only time I read any criticism of Kevin is here on DS so I don't know how you worked that one out.

Please enlighten me.

I completely agree. I remember last year some posts counting how many times tgey showed Kevin, Karen or Jo onscreen. Insane criticism IMO, for made up reasons.

People who I know watch Strictly say they think it's unfair how Kevin has gotten a contender on paper partner each series

I read it on Twitter and Facebook aswell so social media is portraying this opinion too.

I have come across fair bit of negative stuff about Cliftons, particularly Kevin.
Twitter is the only one use, I am not on FB.

I think they are just a little too frantic at times, but I do not think they are horrible.

Don't get too excited - she's said he won't be there because his footy show is recorded at the same time Strictly is on

He is my teenage crush. I had poster of him in his Liverpool kit. That's it, I hope she gets voted first.
