Not sure how well this will go down but here goes.

I like Louise and I think Kevin is the perfect partner for her. Here's to hopefully many, many dances

I'm all over these appreciation threads today as there are quite a few couples I like

Kevin seems to be like marmite on here, whereas I've always been more neutral towards him - never taken to him or his partner enough for them to become my favourites, but I know he always puts in a sterling effort and seems nice enough to me, so don't get all the hate either. Maybe this year will be the year I back him

I really like Louise and I'm rooting for her to do well. Shes a more gentle personality so not sure if she'll stand out enough to catch the votes, but I hope so.

Go Louise!

Loved their Jive last night! Great routine from Kevin and I was really impressed with Louise.

Just been watching Louise's Radio Times interview, she comes over well and I'm sure Kevin will help her gain confidence on the dancefloor. They're a well matched partnership.

She was great last night and seems lovely. Really enjoyed the old-fashioned style and her understated way of dancing. Having watched her as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance though it's a little strange seeing her up for critique from Len and company

Not ashamed to say I am a clifton fan Like his partnership with Louise - think Kevin is the perfect partner to help Louise gain confidence back on the dancefloor.

I too don't understand the Clifton hate at times - they are a great dancing family Keith and Judy are great ambassadors of dance and their kids were fantastic junior and adult competitors - and I know many in the dance world like the addition of good british dancers to the show

Some massive praise from Neil Jones on Twitter for Kevin and Louise's jive. Best technical jive he has seen on Strictly (NB, he is talking strict Latin American technique here before anyone mentions Jay and Aliona's jive). He particularly mentions the kick ball changes and sugar push. Given than Neil and Katya were Amateur World Champs and jive was usually their honour dance, then that really is the highest praise.

I'm surprised there isn't more support for these two on here! I was a fan of Louise back in the day so was already half way there and so far they haven't disappointed! I loved their foxtrot last night too

I also quite like kevin and don't get why he's fairly unpopular on here

Hi! May I come in?
I never thought I would be on the Kevin+ appreciation thread, but I am quickly becoming his fan. I like Kevin's restrained, elegant version of himself this season. There are not too many gimmicks to overshadow his brilliant technique and to distract from his inventive choreography. I also like his partnership with Louise. I wish she had a little more confidence and fire sometimes, but I prefer classy technical dancing to sloppiness and clowning. Of course there is a place for humor in SCD routines not for gratuitous slapstick.
I loved their Charleston this week. It was strangely humorous and very watchable, and I loved the choreography (not sure it is Kevin's, though).
I hope to see Kevin and Louise in the final!

BIB should read: place for humor in SCD routines, just not for gratuitous slapstick.

I would like to appreciate the suggestion that Kevin has been helpful to his celeb partners in helping two of them conceive after partnering him on Strictly. I wonder what his wife thinks

Can't understand the lack of support here for Louise and Kevin. I think Louise is a fabulous dancer that is dancing technically very well under Kevins guidance.
She danced a fabulous AS without over dancing, was my best dance of the night. She does not have the showmanship of Danny but in my view, doesn't need it....she has Kevin for that. The partnership works as it is. In my opinion, from a technical point of view, she is the best dancer for both Ballroom and Latin. I think she is lovely.

Louise & Kevin's Waltz was absolutely gorgeous

Today I've also been rewatching my other favourites of theirs so far . . .

Blackpool Paso
American Smooth
Argentine Tango

Voted for them last night and hoping to support them all the way to the Final.

Brief interview with Louise and Kevin from a BBC News article headlined 'Behind the scenes with the Strictly 'family''.

'"You'll do a great job, you always do," Kevin Clifton tells his partner Louise Redknapp between mouthfuls of dry cereal he is munching from a packet.

They may make it look effortless, but as former Eternal singer Redknapp admits, "you can never realise the hours you have to put in to make it work".

Despite all that individual hard work, no one is out for themselves on the show, she says.

"We've been so lucky - everyone has been great. People read it may think, 'oh, I'm not buying that', but it's true."

Referring to the psychological thriller set in the ballet world, she says: "There have been no Black Swan moments, with someone trying to destroy somebody - not yet anyway!"

Redknapp says she especially enjoyed being able to bring her two sons to the show.

"The youngest one has never seen me do anything other than being his mum. He was as proud as punch after."'

I know I find it so strange that there isn't much support on here for them! It was the same last year with him and Kellie- I don't think they even had an appreciation thread till the last couple of weeks of strictly!

Outside of DS though i do believe they have a strong fan base and Louise is very popular! Really hope they make it to the final!!

Quarter Finalists!

Looking forward to finding out what they're dancing for Musicals week, I really think they have every chance of winning this whole series.

Wow enjoyed Kevin and Karen's Pro dance tonight.

Well I suppose someone has to like them, even if they do have the chemistry of an ex-wife and her ex-husband's new partner. Their dances are all the same - no breakthrough, they've just plateaued. No difficult lifts have been done and we're on the semi-finals, it's ridiculous. If they win I'll never watch Strictly again. It has to be Danny and Oti for me.
You do realise this is an Appreciation thread where you are meant to post constructive and supportive comments for the subjects of the thread?

It's unnecessary to enter Louise's appreciation thread and post what you did.

I actually only posted that because I was amazed they haven't been in the bottom two when clearly very few people actually like them. Obviously there are people who do like them though - different strokes for different folks!

On DS perhaps but not in the real world. I'm sure there were plenty of other places for you to post what you did, it was not needed here. I shall end the convo here as it is an appreciation thread.

In which case I apologise, I assumed we were allowed to constructively criticise but clearly not. We'll just leave it, yes?

Louise seems lovely and she seems to have a good relationship with Kevin. She has had some difficult dances this week. However if she gets through, I hope she dances her AS and Paso in the final.

Finalists whooooooop

So well deserved, I loved their reaction in the Clauditorium. You can tell they both genuinely feel they've made a friend for life. And Kevin's reaction to Tess announcing Ore and Jo were through first was really special, it was lovely to see how thrilled he was for Jo.

I like your choice of Final dances for Louise and Kevin Ann, their AS and Paso are my favourites along with their AT.
