I have a feeling that Robert and Oksana might Salsa in Blackpool if they get through tomorrow. I really hope they do!

The whole cat fight with Craig seems to be coming out a lot more this week. I was expecting that animosity all the way through. Not sure if this would be a good thing though.

I would rather they had samba, but ... You can do lifts in salsa and we know Robert is good at lifts so ... Let's pray to whatever we believe that he has a super song. Leaving aside the charleston, Robert and Oksana have done well with their music.

And Mr Platero might get involved with the training and choreography. And we know that Robert can party. Oksana is bound to put some tricks in. It all depends on the music now as you say. We'll be watching closely on Tuesday evening to see.

By rights, Robert and Oksana should really be last or second to last as they haven't had an end slot for a while. Robert has said that he gets very nervous and prefers to dance earlier, but with less couples still in now, he will have less time to wait. He does deserve to close a show as his dances always have such an impact.

Oh a Salsa to "Spice up your life" - that should get Blackpool partying!

I agree. Although I don't care for the song I think it will work well for a salsa.

The training clip on ITT today was pretty good. And quote of the day from Oksana "Judge Rinder can really shake his tush". And he really can!!!

He looked good even Ian said so. Robert has a nice natural movement so I think this could be a good dance for him. He needs something that's more flamboyant too having had two traditional dances. The strapping on Oksana's knees was something else. She's a trouper isn't she?

I must admit to not spotting the strapping as I was too distracted by all the shimmying and shaking

But yes, I think this could be a great dance with lots of entertainment and great technique. Kind of in the same mould as the Cha-Cha and
Jive I hope!

I was thinking about the rehearsal footage and it looks like they are going to put in the move that Rob fluffed in the Charleston where he picks Oksana up and twirls her whilst stepping over her. I think that's a really good idea and will show how much he has improved.

Totally appreciating Robert's strategy for inane, stupid interview questions!

They don't explain exactly what's wrong in this article but seem to imply she has some sort of chronic problem with her knees, so bad that doctors advised her to quit dancing.

It was reported on this forum, perhaps somewhere in the body of this thread, that she has serious knee issues and has been told to stop dancing but she does not want to. Whilst I admire her passion to smile through the pain as she does something she loves, I fear for her too because she's not even 30 and is knackering her damaged knees

I suspect her grit and fragility inspire Rob's protectiveness and admiration that can seem fawning at times. It can't be easy for them in practice and I've noticed in the last two weeks on Saturday that she sits down for most of the time in the Clauditorium suggesting she is tired and in discomfort.

Hello sunshine! Is there any clip for Rob's ITT appearances this week? They don't seem to have been uploaded on YT and I'm desperate to see him with Zoe and Gethin. His behaviour seems to have split the MF although some of the NATs considered he's one of their, a DOT, now! Whatever he was intending I hope it does not set some voters against him at such a critical point.

The judge made me chuckle last night... Very much looking forward to his Salsa tonight. Sorry to hear about Oksana's knees. Hope she can keep going but not to the detriment of health of course. They 're very sweet together. Good Luck Rob & Oksana

I think I voted 15 times for Rob as he is in danger. In the training VT he reminded me of Withnail from the film Withnail & I, ****ing genius. So made me laugh. Oksana's made a tenuous link between the lifts in our salsa and this (nonsense ride in the background)! I love him.

It was blown out of proportion, and as I suspected, it probably had something to do with the just-happened or about-to-happen visit to the nonsense ride with the tenuous link to salsa lifts.

I do hope they get through tonight. Robert danced a very good salsa, but I think the routine got a bit off track towards the end.

(PS: "Withnail and I" has been on my Netflix list forever, I must finally see it.)

You've got to see the film chou. Know what you mean about the salsa but there was no other dance tonight that could fulfil a closing show dance. Twas a bit disappointing.

The bit that made me laugh was when Robert complained sardonically about the ride and Oksana said "Shut up, you're doing it." Brilliant!

I'm feeling a bit sad that Robert got such good comments but only 8s and one 9. Definitely under marked tonight - others made mistakes and scored higher. In the shot when Claudia announced the voting was open, he looked really sad. I've voted 15 times.

I may be in the crush camp too Maggie ....
