I believe so. No one has actually said what day she said any of this, and I haven't seen her on it since Tuesday (and she didn't mention it then).

It may have been Rylan and I think judging from Walford Web it happened Friday when Ruth was there. I don't see how the 3 members who were talking about it on Walford Web in particular have made it up, they are not the type of people to lie and are respected posters on there. Its in the All About EastEnders topic I think. I believe it was even being discussed on Walford Web before it was posted here. They are not the type of people to post fake info on there, their mods don't allow it.

However a lot of info posted here isn't strictly true. Bryan Kirkwood took over EastEnders in March 2010 and the very first thing he did was Denise Fox being 'killed' by Lucas and held captive which happened in June and July, only 3 months after he took over. We know this as fact as Bryan confirmed he changed the storyline himself. So some producers can get their work on screen faster than others.

So I'm not so sure why people are seemingly so desperate to imply SOC isn't in charge of anything yet when he took over the post on 6th of June. Exactly 3 months ago. DTC started work on EastEnders in September 2013 and his storylines started in December, DTC even had his own brand new family in play within 3 months, so the 3 month thing seems to be how it works. Even Digital Spy themselves confirm SOC work starts filtering through from middle September - which is days away. Are guys going to say DS is 'lying' too ? I've seen people suggest DTC was working on EE before he took over but there is no evidence of this other than a theory. DTC was announced as EE producer at the end of July and stated work on the show in September. That's official. People on here do like to post stuff as though its fact when it isn't. Someone was claiming Sylvia leaves in a few weeks and was being all cocky about it yet she was caught in pics for Lee's wedding so is still filming now... I've noticed people often act like they know it all when they don't.

I suspect this is the truth. It looks to me like they have actually been over seeing the show since April as that is when DTC left EastEnders and headed to Ireland to produce Redwater and his own Twitter even backs this up, while he remained officially as EastEnders producer until May he wasn't there doing much at all for his final weeks as he was busy getting things ready for Redwater in Ireland before heading back to Elstree for a leaving party. Again a quick search of his Twitter answers this.

I forgot Dominic was in Ireland back in the Spring for Redwater. The plot thickens.

If Alex Lamb has been in charge all summer that explains why its been so crap!!

DTC was present in Ireland as producer for filming of all Redwater episodes. So had very little to do with the general day to day running of EE in Elstree for his final six weeks at least. Again his own Twitter would validate this. So from April his input into EastEnders would have seemingly been close to minimum. Unless he some how managed to be in both places at the same time. Someone would have been left in charge of EE while he was in Ireland..Batten and Lamb seem the most plausible.

He didn't have to be at EE the whole time he could working anywhere I remember last year for the 30th Anniversary prep Dominic was over in Ireland and he was looking at the script for the 30th Anniversary week. The only time Dom would need to be present at EE is when he is signing off on things

He was an executive producer on Redwater and was there to oversee filming. He was working in Ireland on a different TV show to EastEnders from April.

It wasn't a holiday like the instance you mention. So its very unlikely DTC was able to sign off scripts from April giving cause to the Lamb and Batten theory.
