A great lover of all the OLD Still Games...however tonight's was a real disappointment!!! Feels forced...feels different...a few laughs but just not the same!!! Nearly in tears as I was so looking forward to the new series!!! Sometimes it is better to just leave well alone!!!

Is this just airing on BBC 1 Scotland or is it also airing across the UK too?

I bloody loved it, smashing start to the new series.

It definitely feels different with the HD but was great seeing everybody again.

Loved seeing the likes of Eric, Stevie and Chris the Postie back too!

What's with the odd tapping noise during the opening theme tune? If it's no broke, why try to fix it?

Theone guy crapping while the others in the bath gag was done better in Father Ted but it was still very funny.

In what way exactly does it feel different with the HD? I'm genuinely puzzled by your remark........

A welcome return! Not quite up there with the early series, but a marked improvement on the last couple of series. The start of the episode was classic Jack and Victor.

Loved that the last scene from the original series was Isa and Navid kissing.. then their first scene back was Navid staring at her arse

The titles were ok, but something seemed a bit off, i preferred the original and also the theme, but they probably did a cover of the original theme to get round copyright problems for the DVD release. (It's still better than that horrid DVD theme!)

I completely forgot about Chris the Postie until someone mentioned it here! I haven't watched the series back since it ended.

Most pleasantly of all was seeing The Clansman name rightfully restored. Didn't like when they changed it around series 4.

Sometimes I struggle to word certain sentences (being an aspie of course! )

I just meant that the show looked more crisp in HD. Was always going to be different with the upgrade compared to the old episodes. Glad they gave the credits an update too though I prefer the other theme music!

Thought it was OK.
Some good lines but it really has been overhyped by BBC Scotland and the print media.

Yeah I'm glad they made reference to Isa and Navid's romantic subplot though I do love his banter with Meena (another welcoming returnee!).

Cannae wait to see Edith, Shug, Frances, Peggy and Fergie pop up too throughout the series

I'm so used to hearing the old theme from watching Still Game on DVD and Netflix but the other one isn't too bad.

Disappointed, only one or two good scenes, but not up to the usual standard.

Enjoyed that, certainly helps if you an affection like me to the characters already - my other half didn't know what to make of it as never seen before.
