I could have done without seeing that.

I'm not homophobic, although I am fully aware I am gonna sound it.... But I am sick of seeing so many men snogging on tv. I see men getting it on so rarely in real life, and yet homosexuality is rammed down our throats on telly every day. Every last damn programme has gays on it. And God forbid you comment or say you don't wanna see it.

And don't even get me started on the amount of OTT camp men on tv. Coach Trip, X Factor, Big Brother, every damn soap. WTF?

And what did Todd mean, riding on the bishops petticoat or whatever? (On the bit where he was snogging Billy.....)
Sorry but you do sound homophobic

Do you complain about the amount of straight snogging that happens in soaps?

I'm starting to wonder if Kate Oates will be the BK of Corrie, even though SB was no better!

She was fantastic on ED, like BK was for HO in the beginning but once they move on to bigger projects that magic just couldn't be rekindled.

Time will tell, but quality has dipped big time.

Bib she started well but turned it into rubbish by the time she left

Yes unfortunately it has had the opposite and does come across as homophobic.

I don't have a problem with gays as long as I don't have to see it sort of brigade, hear it all the time.

It should be no different to a hetro couple/person on screen, if you admit you don't like seeing it then maybe you are the problem not a bit of gayness on tv.

Your not homophobic but seeing gay people on TV bothers you.

Sorry but that comes across as homophobic, you don't mind gays just as long as you don't watch it.

Looks like you're not alone in that opinion, unfortunately: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/c...d-show-8774962

Whatever *shrugs*

I should not have expected anything else from this forum. God FORBID you say anything against gays. *rollseyes*

I am entitled to my opinions.

And yeah, I never see men necking and snogging in real life, but see it all the time on tv. Why?

What are they trying to prove? Ooooooh look how right-on we are, having gays on our programme.

*yawn*

Call me homophobic. I don't care.

A lot of people don't want to see 2 men snogging - OR 2 women. They just won't admit it. For fear of being blasted by people, called bigoted, homophobic etc.

Just remember BIGOTED means

...a person who is intolerant towards those holding different opinions:

So just remember that before you bash me anymore...

I don't hate or dislike gays; I just don't wanna see them getting it on, and I am sick sick sick of OTT camp gay men on tv. Not gay men per se, but the OTT camp ones, and ones who are slobbering over one another.

You contradicted yourself Janet, I'm not a homophobic but know I sound like one, you basically called yourself it not us.

Yes you're entitled to your opinions as we are to respond to them.

Do you thinking pulling out such a opinion isn't going to get a reaction??

It has and will offend people, unless you are naive, you must be fully aware of that!

To be fair you said that you were aware that you were going to sound homophobic so it's hardly fair to label those agreeing that you do indeed sound homophobic bigots.

If you don't hate or dislike gay people why do you object to seeing them on TV anymore than straight people?

Can I just jump in with a quick comment here before you all go back to the gay/straight homophobic or not debates!! To me by any standards, gay or straight that scene was getting pretty graphic for Corrie!!

I mean it was in a bedroom ffs!!!!

Can anyone remember the last time Corrie showed full blown carnal lust boiling over into the suggestion that something more might be about to ensue in a BEDROOM???????

What on earth is the world coming to!!

Sorry just thought I'd mention it!!

Nick's tough guy routine was funny though. I do like Nick when his darker side comes out.

They walked out on the basis the management wouldn't tell them who had reported them for dossing. A really strong case. They broke down under the lure of a box of cream cakes.
Oh dear. I'm glad I missed that one.

Where were all these people thinking raunchy hotel sex was too much for Corrie's time-slot when Carla and Rob were at it?

Although I think Corrie would be better returning to it's routes and focusing on community rather than sex.

You always know when a post starts with I'm not X but the rest of the post is going to be an overkill of X. You can see these types coming a mile off with posts like:

"I'm not racist but I love playing with gollywogs"
"I'm not sexist but women belong in the kitchen, or on their knees"
"I'm not anti-semetic but I mean Hitler chose wisely?"
"I'm not anti-Muslim but they need to stop blowing shit up"
"I'm not xenophobic but shut the borders and keep the scroungers out"
"I don't hate the poor but lets scrap all benefits and just lock the jobless up"

It's more comedic than 99% of the stuff they put in intended to be comedy!!

Even the first episode wasn't remotely interesting. Same old, same old tripe.

Sean behaving like an utter idiot.

Maria moaning to Audrey about something. Yawn.

Then there was the ridiculous Nick/Steve ordeal.

The Leanne storyline sounded good on paper, but it's rubbish. Everyone is acting ridiculously. It is nothing to do with Nick. Then we have to put up with Liz McDonald groaning on and on to everyone, every episode, screaming and shouting at Steve and Leanne about what's right and what's wrong. Dreadful.
And you just know with every fibre of your being that LIZ IS GOING TO BLAB, I mean my god Steve he really hit the wall of stupidity telling her didn't he? You'd thi k he didn't know his mother at all...bloody gob all mighty on a stick!
