All the coincidental storylines (like Michelle and Leanne suddenly becoming besties over fig rolls) are just ridiculous.

Maria continues to drone on and not be given anything interesting to do.

Steve's turned from a much loved to a completely unlikeable and pathetic character.

The show used to include some great comedic moments but there haven't been any of them recently - can't say I'm really bothered if I miss an episode nowadays.

I wish you wouldn't speak for me. I also happen to think she has done all right for herself despite the nonsensical storylines given to her. Many have come and gone and she is still putting on a decent performance so she must have some recognition from the various producers over the years. Maybe it's her turn to shine with the new one. But apart from that I wish I had your insight.

I agree, Coronation Street has been awful this last month. The storylines are boring especially the Maria and Caz storyline. The Audrey and Freddie romance storyline is completely random as I thought she was after Ken?. I thought Kate Oates would have turned it around but maybe its beyond that now. 😕

Considering its dire, why is it still leading? But strange is that. When EE/ED have been dire they have suffered.
