Your obsessive hatred of both character & actress plus the fact she hasn't won anything at the soap awards is proof that everyone hates her!! Not sure which is the most ludicrous of those two 'reasons!'
That obsessive hatred seems to stem from the fact that her husband, whom she met three and a half years ago ended a relationship before he started dating her, oh yes and a similar thing happened two years earlier with Will Thorp before you bring that out as your trump card, previous to which she was with the same guy for I think 10 years, 5 of which they were married!! 'Shameful' indeed, three relationships in 15 years!!!!
Probably worth remembering a couple of points though, no one knows a thing about the circumstances of the Will Thorp thing, or the reason for Samia's marriage breakdown as it was all kept pretty quiet even by the tabloids & as for the more recent 'scandal' it was blown out of all proportion by 'a pal' of his ex girlfriend to The Sun, the girlfriend herself later admitting that 'no cheating went on & Samia seems like a nice girl!!' Her quote in a legitimate interview, not my words, but not before Samia's name had been dragged through the gutter by every tabloid rag in the country & a host of judgemental idiots like yourself!!
Corrie's bosses have been paying her wages for 16 years for doing no work? Hmm interesting, obviously proves they feel what work she has done is of a high enough standard to warrant it then!! That or they feel she's a good ambassador for the show, who is pretty much universally loved by everyone connected with it!!

As for the Eva/Audrey thing with Maria:
a) Eva was taking the p*ss in the first place as there was nothing wrong with her 'roots' & all she'd come for was to meddle in Maria's personal life, be it well intentioned or not (a fact both Eva, Audrey and Maria herself knew very well!!)
b) Audrey had absolutely no right blabbing to all & sundry about Maria's past 'mistakes' with men & it was in especially appallingly bad taste of her to bring up Tony Gordon of all people!! Maria had every right to tell her a few home truths & walk out in my opinion!!
Sammy Winward chose to leave her role as Katie, she wasn't axed. She didn't want her exit to be a death but it was her decision to leave, no one axed her out of "spite".

I agree it wasn't a nice thing to say but she knows Maria well enough by now to know that it was out of character & stemmed from the fact that she herself had vastly overstepped the mark by bringing up Tony Gordon, a part of Maria's life she would be desperately keeping at the very back of her mind if it was real life!! Audrey was very flippant about it whch triggered Maria's outburst, that & Eva been an interfering pain in the a*se!!

I'm pretty sure the only reason people get sacked in Corrie at the moment is so there can be a story where the business inexplicably suffers without that one employee and then the employer bleats on about getting their best barmaid/shop assistant/hairdresser ect... back. Otherwise its a free pass to do what you want, including being rude to your employer and the customers.

Wouldn't be the case with Audrey's then as it seems Maria can bugger off to Cyprus for 6 months without getting any cover in for her, yet as soon as she get's back the Salon is rushed off it's feet & she's been asked to come in on a bank holiday!!
Corrie businesses, like their houses do seem to have a degree of 'flexibility!!'
Or perhaps Maria's combing & rolling technique is just so much better than Audrey's that all her clients went elsewhere for their highlights & blue rinses while she was away!!

The soap destroyer will eventually come to her senses that giving Maria storylines is a bad mistake there's a reason why other producers haven't gave her any storylines since putting her only in the forefront in 2008 and if ITV like the BBC had to make budget cuts Maria would be one of the first ones out the door.

It doesn't change the fact that she was totally in the wrong the woman is a home wrecker on screen and off she drops her knickers for any man. You just want to see her as miss goody two shoes when she's not
I know Coronation Street a lot more better than the soap destroyer out of all the storylines in the shows 56 year history she picks out Sally's Cancer and Carla's rape there's been better storylines in the show.
Eva was trying to be friendly and helpful and the ungrateful cow snapped at her because she's jealous of Aiden and Eva's relationship and doesn't like the fact Aiden doesn't want her when the truth comes out am looking forward to Eva giving her a good smack and the viewers will as well.
Audrey wasn't bang out of order Maria was being rude to Eva and giving cheek to Audrey the woman who pays her wages she stormed off having a tantrum like a kid you must live in a fantasy world if you think that's acceptable. Maria was adamant that Tony had Liam killed it was stupid storyline which made no sense her going from hating him one minute to going out with him the next, other people not believing her was irrelevant she was the one who still went out with him knowing what he did
What exactly is this big Maria storyline? The burglary was hardly edge of the seat stuff and she was barely on screen for 30 seconds, if that.
I am assuming Caz makes a pass, nothing much happens and then after a lot of tedious filler she just ends up back in that ridiculous relationship with the 'lovely lad' Luke.
Maybe I am missing something but it doesn't sound like Oscar material.

IMPO Maria is well boring, I think she's better as more of a suppoorting character or background character, she's ok but I don't think she works well as a leading lady at all, she's no Paula Lane or Tina O' Brien that's for sure!

I agree, but Maria seems to be Kate Oates favorite character, she is on screen more than any other character these days so we are stuck with her as our leading lady for the next 3 years.

Kylie was killed in the transition period, I think the idea was down to Stuart Blackburn but Kate Oates might have made tweaks to those episodes. I do think they could have handled it differently, like had Kylie go on the run or go to jail so there would be some hope for a return. I can't stand Emmerdale! It's never interested me I have watched it loads of times cos my family watch it but it doesn't appeal to me at all. I do know characters names like the Dingles and Andy Sugden tho
I really hope she doesn't ruin Gemma's character!
She'd have probably ruined Kylie too so I guess in a screwed up way, it's good that she got killed off for that reason!

Yup cuz you'd have probably just gotten pissed off when Kylie started cheating. And although she's dead Kylie provided us with some great scenes, Jack Sherpard was amazing when Kylie was dying in David's arms and her death is leading to the return of evil David which will be fun to watch.
