Did I miss something in this episode? Ben and Jay were abducted but when the cops show up grant tells been to leg it and leave Jay behind otherwise the court case against paul's killers will collapse. Ermmm, how exactly? Said killers have just kidnapped and intimidated the key witness, surely that's going to help the prosecution if anything? And WTF, jay got left behind? who wrote that episode? 2 / 10 and believe me, that's generous.
I'm as bemused as you are. 😕

No doubt the actors did the best with what they were given but the writing was dreadful. At least last night's episode had some comedy value.

Do you think when Grant leaves, he will go to America to see Michelle and tell her why she did not tell him about who Marks father was

1. At the start of the episode wtf was No Direction opening the van door for, only for Ben to do his best constipated face before closing the door again.
2. How does Mark Jnr know so much about Grant, Mark seems to know he is bad news, as Michelle has talked about him, wtf would Michelle even want Grant's name mentioned considering the secret that she has.
3. Courtney the other week had no idea who Ronnie was, yet tonight they were sharing scenes like they had met before (we all know they have but that means they have ****ed up continuity from literally a month ago)
4. The 'fight' scenes were embarrassing, poorly acted and in no way dramatic at all.
5. WTF DID THEY LEAVE POOR JAY IN THAT BLOODY VAN!!!
Literally no attempt at all to help him, even though it was his knocking that made Grant and son realize where they were. The van door wasn't even locked
6. Why did Grant not want Ben to see the police??, wouldn't that of just made the case even stronger against No Direction??
7. When the copper opened the van door how did Jay have such an easy run, not one of those coppers went after him at the beginning.

The duff duff was good,Steve and Ross still have excellent chemistry. Jay's scene of him being locked in the van was horrible but again acted well by Jamie B.

Especially Simon who terrorised his daughter and Louise. Had this been the EE of the 90's then we'd have seen grant pick him up and throw him around like a rag doll. Those was were the days when EE pushed the boundaries and weren't afraid to upset people. Sadly those are gone.
People complain too much. Look at the Corrie gay kiss. Its got the TV channels too scared to push the limits incase Ofcom kick off.

I've said it before, and I've said it again - make OFCOM a £1,50 a minute line and name and shame the complainers with adresses . Plus silence groups like Mediawatch and Christian Concenr.

They do. Sad people sat no doubt with phone in hand ready.

Would that even stop them? If it bothers them so much then don't watch. Simples!!

The way this was executed was so poor which is a shame because it had potential to provide good drama.

God, the fact that they left Jay behind really pissed me off. Phil, Sharon and the others couldn't give a shit about him couldn't they? It made no sense to leave Jay behind. I don't get it? The police arriving with Jay and Ben having bruises on the scene? Wouldn't this have worked to the Mitchells' advantage to arrest the people who killed Paul? Since the police would have gotten knowledge about the abuduction of Ben, Jay and the physical beating of Phil, surely this would have worked against those thugs wouldn't it? Why run when there's enough evidence to take them down since its proven they're a dangerous group? It doesn't make sense to me unless someone could fill me in or correct me if I'm not seeing the full picture here? Had Grant not made it in time, history would have repeated itself for Jay.

"Oh Jay's locked up in the van? Oh no worries, he'll be fine." It's not like he could potentially run into Paul's killers and find himself trapped again with his life on the line. Not to mention, he's homeless. For goodness sake! I feel so sorry for him. The poor guy. You'd think he would be better of dead with the way they treat him. Kathy being left out of the dark about Ben until now just doesn't sit right with me either. Like come on, she's his flipping mother!

And don't get me started on the "No police" policy that the Mitchells chanted. We don't need any help even if it could benefit us. Jeez, even Honey could see through their bullshit. Her imitation was spot on.

I liked the scenes with Denise and Kim because it brought out the best in both of them. It was pretty much the highlight for tonight, but for the love of God, please let her get an abortion. It's not too late is it? Oh please, please. I don't want her involved with Phil or become another Mama Mitchell. It's too late isn't it? Oh god, please tell me it's not too late. Why lay this on her? Is this really the best they can do for Denise? It's disappointing because she's one of my favourite characters. She really doesn't need this.

Kim and Jack were very good in this episode.

Louise to Denise "Phil has changed!"

Hello? Earth calling Louise? What planet is she living on? Phil hasn't changed a bit. Not long ago, she was defending Jay against Phil? What the heck changed?

I'm disappointed that we didn't get to see an actual fight between Grant and those 4 troublemakers. Sorry to say but the writing was poor, this could have been so much better than it turned out to be. Great acting by Ben, Jay and Denise though.

An embarrassing half hour of television. Poor Diane Parish. I am embarrassed for her to act this shit out. The one time they make her the centre of the drama and it is an awful story-line with her knocked up with a Mitchell and too far gone to do the world a favour and have an abortion.

Oh well. I am sticking around to see how worse it gets.
That's the ticket!

Like as been said about getting Ben away so he didn't damage the case. Really don't understand why grant said that. Ben and jay being kidnapped by Paul's killers strengthens his case, all they had to do was stay there and tell the police. Leaving jay in the van was also very strange, they only had to open the door.
