i think its an invitation from colin to his gay wedding, she was freaked out at first but will be cool with it after a bit of fuss

I remember him well. It was quite a big deal at the time to have a gay character in a soap.

Would Dot really be that shaken up about an invitation to his wedding? She seems quite comfortable with gay characters these days. What happened with her and Colin?

I imagine that while she's now okay with gay characters, it wouldn't be surprising if the idea of two men or two women being able to marry still wouldn't sit well with her.

I said it when it was announced and I'll say it again - he's back for 2 episodes so not going to be involved in any big storylines so what's the point? Most of the people watching won't even know who he is and the episode threads will be full of "who is that man talking to Dot?" It's lazy storytelling.

I moved house about 30 years ago, I haven't been back to see my old neighbours, it's unrealistic. Life moves on and so should EE.
