Carly in Emmerdale deserved that in my view

I like Carly but i query her even being nominated for Best Soap Newcomer given she was not only in hollyoaks for years, she was arguably it's most prominent character for some time, even being the central character (along with Ben) in a spin off.

I can see why Shayne won against that competition as he's not doing badly and has been more prominent within the show. Riley has hardly had anything to do in EE, bless him.

Personally I'd rate the actors playing Jade, Alfie and James in Hollyoaks higher but they weren't nominated so.....

I thought it was just newcomer to that particular soap, I remember Pauline Quirke being nominated for best newcomer at an awards ceremony and she has been acting for 30 years or something.
