Bought these yesterday and just wondering how they are best eaten?
I have to admit I got low expectations as they got no sugar in them. Makes it a bit of a baffling cake, but maybe one of you knows best use of them?
Thanks.

As above, they are savory. Use them like Staffordshire oatcakes or hash browns. You could also toast them and use as a base to pile on eggs, baked beans or whatever.

I used to live near Stoke, and I love Staffordshire oatcakes (or as I call them: "oatcakes" - keep the inferior Scottish nonsense as far away from me as possible). There was a little oatcake place just down the road and an oatcake with cheese and bacon is a killer hangover cure.

Pretty much impossible to get them down here. There's a cheese shop in London that sells them but that's a pain in the arse even for something as wonderful as an oatcake.

Why is everyone talking about buying them? They are cheap and easy to make yourself.

Have a guess, could be, convenience, lack of time, laziness.

Bread is easy to make yourself at home but most people don't bother.
