Tears with clean bandit and Louisa I assume you missed that .

That's the correct direction for her but as always they will have the marketable ones singing Whitney etc to get the votes

Along with Gifty I think that Olivia is the best so far.

Olivia appears to be more current than Louisa ever did in her series to be fair.

There's actual potential with Olivia if Simon stops her singing in a Diva way and actually tell her to sing how she actually sounds.

In Louisa's series Simon should've picked Chloe who was also marketable with her looks, and pulled off really difficult songs like Amazing Grace and Take Me To Church, she was the much better act to go for, but as usual Simon picked the inferior act.

There is no point in comparing Olivia with Louisa as they are two completely different types of singers.

She is pencilled in for the it's too early for you speech at judges houses.

She was just ok but I think would die on her arse in the lives

She should've picked different song.

Too many trying to be a Whitney. It makes some sound like oversinging(Ivy is no Whitney, but could likely be an "Adele",and others sound like the vocal equivalent of trying to kill a lion with a fly swatter, even if their voice is pleasant(Stick to pop and techno, Olivia, you're good at it)

Once again it's the same old type of singer that X Factor encourages, it's all about vocal gymnastics with hardly any feel in the vocal, listen to Karen Carpenter singing We've Only Just Begun and the vocals are pure with no need to shout. You can't blame the contestants as Cowell would slaughter any act that does not belt their way through a song, personally I no longer watch the programme as it all become stale with the same old thing, X Factor became boring and Cowell can't see further than pound note signs.

You would never see an act on the show singing like Karen Carpenter, or anyone else similar. They are not looking for those types of artists unfortunately.

I think shes going to get to the lives on looks alone. The thing is she DID have a decent voice, 100% something they can "work with" so she is pretty much a shoo in for the lives. I would not judge her vocal ability on one performance although she does have some very bad habits which will not be fixed in 12 weeks.

Well Simon needs to stop turning Olivia into that type of act for them to be two completely different singers at this point because his turning someone who sounds like Taylor Swift's early material into another Whitney Houston.

She is more of a potential modern Kylie Minogue meets uk Taylor Swift than an Aguilera. That's not a bad thing to be. She may not be a "singer's singer", but I think Kylie is great, and I see Olivia as potentially that kind of artist.

Louisa was a potentially strong singer who was pushed forward too quickly, IMO. She can imitate the bigger voices but her voice is not quite big enough to be convincing in that vein. She is young, though, and talented enough to still have a shot, IF she develops her artistry to match her vocal gift.

Louisa can only develop once she is free of SYCO, as is the case with all of them.

It's very easy to blame everything on SYCO, but I don't see how any label is gonna be able to get anything out of her if she can't build up a song.

Did we even see Olivia at the bootcamp stage on Sunday? As I don't remember seeing her?

If she was it must have only been a few seconds as I didn't see her, which I thought was odd after giving her good coverage for her room audition.

She again shows that there's potential with her vocal, but again the completely wrong song and she's singing in the completely wrong genre.

Her and Samantha Lavery are gonna fall into the same fate because the show doesn't want them to sing their style of Music for some reason.

They choose their own songs at this stage, don't they?
