This Is Acting was released in January which had Alive, Cheap Thrills (and the somewhat now known 'Unstoppable' from the advert), could Sia release another album?

I'm definitely here for it, I absolutely love her and though her mainstream music is different from the pre-Chandelier stuff, she can write (and sing) some great songs. the "weareyourchildren" hashtag is rumored to be the album title if an album is coming at all.

This is a great song, it's #14 on iTunes aready. The video uses elements of Chandelier, Elastic Heart, Big Girls Cry, Alive and Cheap Thrills to capture the emotion in honor of the Orlando attacks

Bit of a shame if she is moving on already. I think her current era could easily have another hit or two

Alive was a weak lead single
and Cheap Thrills is far from being the best thing to be the big hit of the era

I don't think Alive was a weak single at all. It actually is more detailed and has structure in comparison to Chandelier or Cheap Thrills. Of all the songs on This Is Acting, that one (and one or two others) are the only ones actually produced rather well. The rest are quite demo sounding or feel unfinished (Broken Glass and Sweet Design for example), no idea if that was intentional due to the whole acting thing.

Talking of This Is Acting, someone ripped the filtered vocals on a chorus of Bird Set Free and it's amazing, she can really do some amazing things with her voice, it really soars

This was rumored to be the new single about a month ago but I guess that's scrapped now.

The Greatest is a brilliant. Watched the video just now on YouTube and as soon as it got into the chorus I knew this was a killer tune. Also purchased on iTunes.

I agree about I'm Alive from last year. I liked that song but the screechy vocals towards the end ruined the flow of the song for me.

in review of previous comments (IR)

Alive was a strong lead single ...it really showcases the power of her voice... but the album had many great tracks too...and some will remain album tracks... i feel that she wants the tracks she loves released out there while the momentum is good...not because she cares about chart success...she is just relishing the moment after years of great songs not occupying the spotlight. She is enjoying her art. Cheap Thrills maybe her biggest seller but is it her best song? No she is all about the moment and all credit to her. Besides her last album were songs she recorded for others!! So wow what a moment .... enjoy

I would recommend everyone to listen to her albums prior to the spotlight of success...

Absolutely love this! I suppose Sia is cashing in on her recent success since her name wasn't in the charts a few albums ago!

Shame to see her moving on to another album so soon. I quite like "This Is Acting".

It is a good song but I feel like I've heard it before from her?!
She is a big fan of those "I won't give up" lyrics

I'm beginning to find all of Sia's stuff sounding the same lately. Plus, I can never understand a word she is singing! I think her diction is getting even worse!! The only songs I really like on This Is Acting are Sweet Design and Space Between. Alive and Cheap Thrills are ok but hardly amazing, imo. With her 1000 Forms Of Fear I only like Chandelier and Elastic Heart.

I think her album We Are Born is fantastic though. I love just about every song on that album. I like some of the songs on Colour The Small One too, especially Don't Bring Me Down and Moon. I wish she'd record more stuff like that again, but especially her We Are Born sound and style. I just find her too samey now, especially with this new single and her videos always featuring that girl in them.

What I find most fascinating about Sia is that I didn't really get into Cheap Thrills and find it a bit of a shame that this, of all her singles, has become her most successful.

However, if the success of Cheap Thrills has a knock on effect on The Greatest then I'll be happy as I much prefer this new single.

This Is Acting is a fabulous album. I'd have hoped that Move Your Body would be a single before she moved on but that doesn't look likely now!

At the risk of sounding like one of the "I was there" crowd, I really miss her old stuff from the likes of "Colour The Small One" and "Some People Have Real Problems", prefer her more folky, subtle style. It's like she's completely abandoned her earlier songs seeing as she doesn't even seem to play anything pre We Are Born bar Breathe Me. Shame, would've loved to have seen her live during her previous era.

Despite all that, I did really like 1000 Forms of Fear! Can't say the same for This is Acting unfortunately..

I wonder what Move Your Body (The New Version) will be?

I know lots of people said the drums on the chorus were too loud but surely they wouldn't just lower the vol and class it as an extra track when they could just fix that on the first disc.

I hope it's good anyway, I love MYB

Apologies my mistake. It isn't a 2 disc edition. It will all be on one disc

It's due October 21st
You can pre order already. Ignore the price as amazon seem to put their new releases up for a high price and then change them a few weeks before release.

The new cover is much better than the original i think

I will pre-order it. I have TIA that was released in January as I love Sia so much, so I may as well get this.

I do wish Broken Glass was finished though. The chorus is repeated 3x/4x and then just fades out.
