Hello everyone, especially our gracious thread host, Mrs Ochre.
I know that salsa has an outside choreographer but Helen's final lift seemed to me something that Aljaz had been involved with ... But that was yesterday and here we are with the delightful Daisy. She is doing Salsa, as is Ed. Given Ed has such a character-driven song I'm glad that Daisy has something quirky so that she is not left in the mix. All fingers crossed for her. I'll need to try and open the DeeLite photo another time as present PC says no! I love her costume and I agree with Jean, lose the blue tassles and just have the over dress, short with a nice dark blue slip and some long boots. |

That's what i'm thinking Maggie. Ed will make the most of his theme. Daisy needs to make the most of hers. I hope she can really let go with the salsa and not worry too much about technique.
I notice there's lots of goodwill towards Daisy on the main forum but people seem to think she might go this week. I'm not so sure. I think she'll make Blackpool -possibly via a D/O but preferably without it. |

Belatedly posted Judges comments for Daisy & Aljaz's 'Daisy Bell' Viennese Waltz.
Bruno: 'Easy does it Daisy. Oh she was floating around like a weightless petal caught in a soft breeze. What I loved about it, it had a charming, playful, childlike quality . . . I loved that section in tandem, so clever, so delicious, so well thought. It was beautifully danced and beautifully performed.' Craig: 'You coped really well with all the changes of direction, Aljaz had put a lot of them in, that's not easy. I loved the quirky nature of this dance as well, it wasn't just a normal Viennese. I thought you had a very nice frame but I think there were just tiny little shuffles sometimes, very, very small point. In the Throwaway Oversway over here you didn't get your back leg out, the left leg out as much . . . (Aljaz interjects it was just a Throwaway) . . . Without the Oversway, alright well thank you darling. But if you were attempting one it didn't happen but apart from that I thought it was brilliant, absolutely brilliant.' Darcey: 'All the way through, what was amazing was the fabulous rotation, the turn. As Craig said every time you changed direction you totally looked in control of it. Really smooth and gliding, that was really special because I can imagine you got very, very dizzy. I would only say, for me it's about exaggerating that top line so it's difficult when you're turning that much but really lift out of the ribcage, pull out and extend that beautiful, long neck of yours. But you know what you have, you have this beautiful aura when you're in hold. I think it's about the Ballroom for you and you do, you come alive. It's just such a pleasure to watch.' Len: 'It was a charming dance. It was like a daisy chain, one step linked to the other in a seamless movement. VIennese Waltz, there's not that that much choreography you can use and yet you put in a few lovely little quirky moments which I really loved. I can't agree about the top line, I think your top line is good because it's got a naturalness about it, it's not forced. I thought it was a lovely, lovely dance. Congratulations.' Score: 8, 8, 9, 9 Overall score of 34, their highest to date. I love this GIF of Daisy & Aljaz on a bicycle made for two. |

Think we need to give Daisy extra votes tonight - somehow I think she may go tonight if she is in the bottom two.

Good evening all. I'm nervous for Daisy too. It was nice to see her open the show and I very much appreciated her smiles and energy throughout the entire show, which felt tense and a bit sombre to me. She looked amazing. At last some bright red with contrasting colours in the stripes. Her hair was perfect too. Daisy's nose is quite flat in profile but this hair do really suited her profile.
As for the salsa, I thought she looked a bit weak which surprised me given her cha cha cha. Daring lifts. Aljaz must be strong as Daisy is so tall! I hope she makes Blackpool. I'll miss this couple. |

Also I think some of the big, upbeat personalities that have left, Tameka, Lesley, Anastacia, Laura are missed. We're not going to miss Daisy & Aljaz yet, I have hope. |

Daisy looks foxy and I loved all the details and tricks in the dance. If she goes over Greg I'll feel cheated. |

Aw that was a terrible shame to see Daisy go, I think she had a lot more to give on the dancefloor and is such a lovely person.

Daisy has been such a lovely person on Strictly and ITT. She's always natural. I'm going to miss her. No one else dresses to train like her or is so spontaneous to camera. Her inner child is five and loveable

I missed tonight's show but knew the result from the spoiler.
![]() There are some lovely posts in the 5 Thoughts thread saying it's not Natalie Lowe who is the goddess but Daisy Lowe. True that. |

I'm disappointed they didn't make Blackpool but a run to Week 8 with some special dances is something to be very proud of for Daisy & Aljaz. Daisy has been a joy to watch and Aljaz a wonderful partner to her, love their friendship

Very sorry that Daisy did not make it to Blackpool - its a such a competitive series this year. In another year, I am sure she would have made it through to dance at the Tower Ballroom. I thought she improved her dance in the Dance Off and showed great composure.

I cast all my votes for Daisy, but the hippy, Disco, Salsa combination was a sign that things might not go well.
They did well with that bad mix of ingredients, but Greg danced his best dance ever in the D O, so I accept the judges' decisions. I think Daisy has the potential to become a VERY good dancer, but she danced well, and came across as someone who is joyful to be around and very thoughtful of others. Great partnership - I think they both enjoyed working together so much from start to finish, and Aljaz tailored the choreography very well for Daisy. They have a lot of dances that they can look back on fondly. |

Too sad to post last night... Still sad today .
I liked Daisy more than I've liked anyone for several years. She comes across as a lovely person and has a nice rapport with Aljaz. I know she wasn't going to win but I was hoping for one more ballroom dance in Blackpool. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I hope Daisy isn't too disappointed. She did very well in a year where the female celebrities seem to be rather unpopular and the men flavour of the moment. Thank you Ochre for this lovely thread and to everyone for their company
