Apparently Babs is going to talk to producers about bringing Peggy back as a ghost.

I wish she'd never been killed off in the first place, always liked Peggy.

Where's the originality in this request? She's already been a banshee for years.

Thankfully her mate Incompetent Dom or DTC or DLC or whatever he calls himself has been sacked from Eastenders which makes it incredibly unlikely.

What was shameful was that they concocted a fortnight of episodes for the witches death between them that had nothing to do with Eastenders and everything to do with a self-congratulatory pat on the back for themselves.

So much for wanting to kill the character off to close the door on her.

Barbara clearly regrets her decision to leave EastEnders for good but I hope Peggy doesn't come back as a ghost.

As extreme as it would be, I'd love Peggy and Pat to come back for a Halloween episode where they just sit in the corner of an empty Vic and talk about old times and worries about their families and friends still here.

A complete 2 hander, which ends with the pub doors opening - prompting Peggy to ask "What are you doing here?" before the duff duff and foreshadowing an unannounced death.

Then we have a second episode which features a shock death, letting us know who had died, and who had been met by Peggy and Pat.

They should never have killed her off, bring her back! We never actually saw her die

The only way she could realistically come back would be presenting a weekly show about the previous weeks events, going into more detail, having other characters on to discuss their storyline, etc (I seem to remember some other show used to do this), this then gives her and the producers the flexibility to change her if needed. They did the Eastenders back to hours and they were quite good, although some poorly told.

Her coming back as a ghost, whilst obviously not meant to be real is just ridiculous.

I knew this would happen. Babs even said she might live to regret it during the "Last Orders" show that aired just after her exit.

The thing is, Babs specifically went to DTC and asked for Peggy to be killed off. She wanted to return in order to call time on the character. There was no need to kill Peggy off except Barbara Windsor's insistence that she die. So I'm afraid she had nobody to blame except herself.

Peggy should come back as a ghost, she can haunt the Square, tease the resident's, fart on their pillows, Pat should come back as well.

No, it's because of Dom humouring her that we've had all these daft Mitchells contrivances that have dragged the show down further. And if anyone's ghost needs coming back it clearly has to be an Angie Watts Poltergeist chucking empty gin bottles at Mick.

Lets bring back all the characters who have been killed off over the years

And put them in a Spin off show
