Her exit episodes was just one big Barbara love fest, and she probably knew dtc would be the only one who would allow her such power.
Now that all the reaction and 'sadness' has worn off she wants a return, she's dead and I am glad.

Its not 'bizarre' at all - I'd expect nothing less from Dame Windsor...

I used to like Babs but she has been severely gotten on my nerves thinking she is to EE what Joan Collins was to Dynasty.. She's not the greatest actress and I, for one don't rate Peggy as high as some REAL soap icons a la Ena, Elsie, Deirdre & Bet in Corrie, Angie, Pauline & Dot in EE, Alexis in Dynasty or JR in Dallas. She had an over-inflated opinion of herself before but, ever since she left the role on a permenant basis, all around her have been guilty of feeding her ego mercilessly that she's lost all grip on the fact that she was an average at best actress who played a soap character (far from brilliantly) for for a number of years. Honestly, the way everyone goes on you would think she is The Second Coming.

Her Damehood soon followed and her over-inflated head could hardly fit on its tiny body any more.

Back to EE, she requested the character's death to put herself back in the limelight after having been reduced to Foxy Bingo appearances and nothing much else for years. In killing Peggy, she ensured they made the biggest meal of it as possible, with spin off tribute shows, endless rounds on the media circuit - the whole shabang. She then had to announce to all and sundry that she is not going to watch A SOAP CHARACTER'S DEATH because it was all to much for her (though she managed to film it all and run with the cheque attached!)

And now, not even six months after Peggy's death, she wants to come back!!!

Fact is, Babs is a savvy old bird who has been around for years (albeit more in the background between the Carry-Ons and EE) and is determined to pick the bones of this cash cow that saved her fledgling career probably until she meets her Maker.

Go away already Babs - or should that be "Peggy" cos I think she is beginning to convince herself that the East End ex-pub landlady is real....puleese!

I hope this never happens.

It never ceases to amaze me how quick people are to want to destroy Barbara Windsor on these forums. To the point it's pathetic that a 79 year old woman is spoken about so disrespectfully and personally on what is a soap forum. The kind of remarks made yesterday were appalling and just goes to show the real mentality of the some of the users on these forums. What nobody bothered to post on the thread about Bab's "supposed" return to the show was that there was a denial put out soon afterwards and it seems a light hearted comment with a journalist was written as a "factual" story. How come no one saw the Radio Times piece saying "she is not returning"! If I was walking down the street and saw people abusing a lady of nearly 80, I would take issue with that. Bit of course at least those people would be brave enough to show their faces......not like on here....isn't that right Keyser? The tide is turning though and more people are getting prosecuted for certain things they write....or even better email addresses are being traced and nasty trolls have people turning up on their doorsteps to face their actions.......Ask all the trolls on here one question......"What have they achieved in their lives today or ever?"!! I doubt if it is much more than sitting in their rooms with no job, no life and no friends.......!!! At least Windsor did something more with her own life.........!!!
