What a Flop That Eastenders Episode Was..

After the huge build up with shouting, bats and kidnap enticing us in.. Grant and Grease turn up, Grant shouts.. And the boyband run back in time for tea..

You could almost blame it on Ross Kemp's short return.. But every story seems to be the same these days.

Great to have won Grant back but they've took the opportunity for Granted

It did seem very overhyped for what was essentially 30 seconds of Grant waving his bat at the boyband.

Maybe something unexpected happens on Thursday, i'm guessing its all going to be about this Mark storyline now though which i'm not particularly enjoying either.

However I must say, I much prefer these episodes to the ones last week focused on Shakil's birthday and salsa class.

I get what you mean, but for me, this week has been pure old school EE and I've loved every minute.

Utter contrived nonsense. The boyband had a dance rehearsal at 3.30pm sadly so had to get going, lucky for Grant and Yankee Doodle Jr.

Appalling episode what a disappointment not even an off screen slap

I thought it could be good when one of the boyband said about it being 4 against 2, then as soon as Ben stood up they legged it.

I don't get why they had to get out of there as the police were on their way, Ben & Jay hadn't done anything wrong, unless it's a crime to be kidnapped and driven to an industrial estate. They should have stayed there and given the police more to add to the charges.

I enjoyed it.

This way justice will prevail and Paul's killers will be tried in a court of law rather than the Mitchell's charged with assault

Agreed although I'd have enjoyed grant eating their livers too

I'm so confused why they had to run.. Why did Ben and Jay not want to be caught.

I kept rewinding it.

Me too, loved the scene with Phil asking Grant to bring Ben back and loved when he got out the car with his baseball bat! Cheesy, contrived and clichéd ... yes but I loved it

It would have jeopardised the case

But they were kidnapped and beaten up and have witnesses to this, surely this would back up the case and not jeopardise it?

Hmm.. this is the same police that didn't investigate how Lucy's body was on the common following Bobby Beale's confession. Yeah she walked there randomly with a head injury....

Because it would have come out that Ben and Jay had gone after them to pursue vigilante justice.

This isn't a problem just restricted to this episode in particular, but EastEnders does feel very unnatural at times - the dialogue feels forced and not quite right, and it's been like this for a while. There's no real drama - how many times is Phil going to collapse? Feels like his cirrhosis story is dragging on, without much proper development or without anything really moving forward.

The whole scene with the tweenies and Grant/Mark jr was hilariously bad, Ross Kemp extreme world has nothing on those guys

The police already know that. Ben was seen outside one of the boy's houses.

The whole thing was a joke how on earth could the police finding Ben and Jay there jeopardise the case.

I think it more likely make the case stronger.

Innocent person would not kidnap a witness and try to intimidate them to not testify against them.

And something that one of the boy band kidnapets saying about Paul killing was a accident.

I am starting to think maybe they might get off

Knowing EE think they might
