Use of tomatoes
I always want to buy tomatoes but the only thing I use it for when I get them is to make tomato soup. What other uses are there? Would like to buy them more.

sliced in cheese and tomato sandwiches, cut in half and fried with steak or with a full English breakfast.
Make your own pasta sauce, or base sauce for pizza. |

Salads, sliced on a sandwich, fried, the possibilities are endless. Even more so with tinned tomatoes.

I used to have this for lunch at weekends.......
Dice a couple of tomatoes and put in a bowl with a handful of olives. Add some ripped up slices of salami (the German peppered one or the Italian Milano type).......mix up, drizzle with olive oil, add salt & pepper........serve with fresh crusty white bread Save a bit of bread for dipping in the juices...... |

Weirdest food question ever.
Uses for tomatoes: Sliced on a plate and drizzled with french dressing as a side dish Chopped and added to any savoury dish Cooked with onions, garlic and seasoning then blended to make pasta sauce Sliced and added to any meat sandwich Quartered and added to any salad Sliced and added to any Greek salad Chopped and added to any soup Eaten on their own as a lovely thing Arranged in a bowl to make a nice table arrangement Added to any savoury dish as a garnish Sliced and added to pizza Sliced and put on top of cheese on toast and grilled |
