What technology are the Air Pods using? Is it Bluetooth? It might be a stupid question, but surely if you're on the tube underground for example you're going to loose connectivity?

You'd have to be brave taking those out of the house. If they fit as badly as the normal pods in my ears then I'd never risk it.

No price increase is good. If i was ever rich enough i'd certainly consider the 256gb model.

It used to be fun. The thing is Apple still using five years plan by Steve Jobs and they failed to come up with anything creative and innovative, but they are recycling Steves ideas. They upgrade a few minor things such as camera, and voila, a new IPhone/ IPad is born etc.

What they need is a really new and unique product people would be enthusiastic about having, and other companies would try to copy. When we have that, we'll know Apple is on the right track. Tim Cook hasn't brought anything new and revolutionary so far, he is just recycling old ideas, but customers are getting tired of it now. The idea to ditch the headphone jack will deter many from buying the new iPhone 7.

Speaking all this as a huge Apple fan. They have great hardware and software and great operating systems.
Compared to Jobs who was pulling a revolutionary new product out of his backside every time he walked onto a stage?

Might be rose tinted spectacles - between 1999 and his death there was what? The iMac (basically a computer), the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad (basically a big iPhone).

This "best ever" "longest ever" talk annoys me. Of course it's going to be that. It's a new phone.

I'm sad the better camera only comes with the bigger plus. I wanted the two cameras in the smaller model.
Do we know yet if the optical image stabilisation of the 6S + has trickled down to the 7?

That might be an indication of whether or not the smaller iPhone next year will get the dual camera.

Booooo. I thought he was about to spring a "We've got one more thing" on us and reveal a product no one knew about. I hate these singing gigs they throw in.

I don't think they'll differ all that much - wouldn't even be surprised if it's a 1 to 1 exchange rate

So basically we've got the usual 0.x CPU/GPU bump and a removal of the headphone jack and 16gb model and it's water proof.

Is that it? Have I missed anything?

Think I'll do what I normally do.. either keep my current 5S or get the 6 now it's cheaper. But I always liked the silver surround and the more solid feel of the 5S so I may just keep it. Battery is doing just fine currently.

What else were you expecting them to do to the phone? There's very little you can do now that isn't gimmicky. It's always going to be minor improvements.

I need a new phone as my iPhone 5 is almost dead. The 7 I don't really think sounds that amazing. The 7 Plus though with the dual camera does appeal to me massively. I would probably go for that, but the screen size I just cannot stand, it's way too big. It's been a while, but I think I'm finally ready to give another make/model of phone a try.

I wasn't expecting anything I was asking a genuine question, I wasn't sure if I'd missed anything.

Exactly. Perhaps the only thing left that anyone can really do is to do away with the physical buttons on a phone and make the whole thing touch sensitive.

You didn't think they'd let you use them with non Apple products did you?
People complain the Apple don't innovate, then they complain when they do innovate. An earlier post said that Bluetooth didn't have the audio quality of a wired connection. Apple are trying to fix that.

You are confusing Bluetooth with mobile data I think!

What were you expecting? This...?!

The 7 looks pretty innovative to me....not enough to convince me to get one anytime soon, though.

Could they have put the second camera at the bottom and given it some limited 3D snap ability, like the Nintendo 3DS, I wonder?
