I'm new on this thread and also fist time I've watched strictly right through! Someone on TV said the public would warm to Ed as time went on! He's certainly won me over!
I agree with everything on here and I like the way you see his good points and what he needs to work on !

Missed part of work one his performance included!

Looked at it yesterday and what an improvement!

Hope he's saved again but agree it gets harder each week time him out of the bottom two! Haven't voted yet but will his week !

You've probably read this from Katya's Twitter but thought I'd share it anyway. A charming insight into the world of Ed & Katya, from Katya's perspective (esp loved learning Ed wears rainbow-coloured laces).

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.sta...?client=safari
If I could fall in love with Katya any deeper, I would. While she is not as politically savvy as Ed ("swingers" for "swing voters" cracked me up!) she deeply cares for Ed and seems to invest more than other pros in teaching her partner.
Bossy or not, Ed has accepted Katya's approach, and it works. (I also recall a film about Russian ballet schools - they look like a boot camp; so Katya's teaching method is typically Russian but, hey, it produces results!)
Just love these two, but I've lost what remained of my respect for Darcey. Blabbing about Ed's chances at SCD, she may be expressing the views of the entire judges' panel; but she should have known better than doing the dirty work that Len and Bruno cleverly avoid.

The thing is, she is probably not used to having to give interviews and showing the diplomatic side, by not answering the question she is asked or by answering the question she wasn't asked. She should get some advice from Ed really, he knows how to do it

Hello to all voters here, "old" and new. I wouldn't be surprised if Ed and Katya do leave because the judges have more of a say in things I think with the group dance. However, I have done my voting for them and shall keep my fingers crossed.

Well and truly bottom of the leader board as we all expected. I'm glad Len pointed out it was a "proper" tango. Not technically perfect of course but classy and enjoyable as always. Hope they go through but worried tonight

me too, in the past weeks I've voted to Greg too, so have now transferred those votes for Ed as well, difficult to say if he'll escape the dance off this week. I think the judges "talking up" some of the other couples will make people think twice about sending him votes

I didnt think the tango was the best- I dont think Katya's dress helped, it was too "flowy"

Thought Ed threw himself into it though, well done for giving it a go

That would be a tremendous "journey" for a non-dancer.

what a lovely thing to say, he has been very gracious, and handled the criticism that he should go, very tactfully

I think Ed may go tonight but, whilst I'll be sorry to lose him and Katya, I thought he
looked rather exhausted and I think he may be feeling the effects of the past few weeks.

Appreciating Ed and Katya tonight. Seeing comments on the MF critising those voting for him saying it will be the death of SCD just amuses me whereas years ago it would have enraged me. I don't think they realise things like this galvanise not deter voters

Not his best or most entertaining dance tonight but i still anticipate and enjoy his dancing so much. I'm praying they'll be safe and hope my votes have helped!!!!!

Yeah I too feel they may have realised that their time is up tonight. It seemed they were dancing with less intensity..almost relaxed. And the catwalk thing may have been fun but it looked like a last hurrah to me. As I said before the Stones song didn't match the dance...maybe they should have tried 'The Last Time'...or 'Girls On Film'!!
No complaints if Ed goes though. They have had a remarkable run and deserve all the praise they will surely get 2moro.

Ed and Katya do not deserve to be treated by Craig's obvious dislike of him.

I thought the routine was well overwrought - makes me wonder how much 'thematic interference', shall we say, may have been imposed on them by production. Katya's routines have been so clever because she's kept them sweet and simple, so I'm not convinced this was all her own work.

I still have a feeling they'll make it through, but I'm struggling to think who else might be in the bottom two other than Judgey Judge.

Good luck to Ed & Katya, whatever happens him and Katya have brought such great entertainment to the show. He has improved, and you can see he's enjoyed his time. Katya has been amazing and I love the partnership they have.

It must be sad for Ed when the judges treating him like a joke with some of their comments and the whole 'he doesn't deserve' to be there. I hope it hasn't ruined his experience, I just wanted to say I've enjoyed them and they have given us some of the most memorable dances.

I wondered about the routine this week as well. Who came up with the male model and catwalk idea I wonder? It just seemed a step too far really. The tango itself wasn't a bad effort at all. I still enjoyed it though, like I do all their routines. I am worried for them this week though.
