Quite a few former Strictly Alumni wedding guests too.

Laila Rouass says nice things about Anton, particularly that she thinks he would be a 'fabulous' judge on Strictly

As long as people are willing to provide spoilers, I am sure we will run the threads.

Brian surgery is no fun (as my son knows), at least you have Strictly to help you through. 💐

Good stuff Laura. 👍
Love the Roy Grace books. Can actually 'see' her as Cleo...
Might mean the Tour is out for her though?

If she is doing this, the tour seems unlikely.

I love the Roy Grace series too - I have my local library on red alert every time one comes out!

Wasn't sure where to post this:

First steps clips now available on BBC's Strictly YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/bbcstrictly

They were horribly laggy on the blog, for me.

Strange article with comments from Gleb on the Strictly curse. I'm not sure why he's being asked about it while he's on DWTS, but I thought his comment about Daisy was a bit uneccessary and he clearly doesn't think much of Giovanni. He seems to like commenting on the 'curse' but is never honest about why he's such an expert on it.

Poor old Giovanni, I really do feel sorry for him. None of the other pro dancers are getting this kind of negativity from the press or social media.

Gleb's comments say more about him than they do about Giovanni, and the remarks about Daisy are both mean and uncalled for.

I agree and I don't know why an ex-colleague feels the need to fan the flames. I've since seen the original article in the Daily Star and there was a bit more to his comment about Giovanni which appeared to be a dig about his relationship with Georgia. I don't know if he had some sort of problem with the two of them, but considering his own relationship issues he may do better to keep quiet.

Yes, the comment about Daisy is the sort of the thing you'd expect a teenage Janette fan to say on Twitter, not a grown man.

I don't see a problem with Gleb having a subjective opinion about which girl is prettier. It's in the eye of the beholder - different people have different opinions.

The quotes are single quotes so it may not be what Gleb actually said - it may be an interpretation of what Gleb did say.

The comment about Giovanni is unpleasant speculation.

It's an article that is most likely to reduce people's impression of Gleb.

This is what he says in New magazine -

Were you surprised that Giovanni and Georgia May Foote split up?

I'm not shocked. He's young and Italian. You know what Italian's are like! They were never going to get married, have kids and live happily ever after. I bet you £100 Giovanni will get with Laura this year. And next season, I'll bet you another £100 he'll get with his new partner!

This is the original article with double quotes, which doesn't make him sound any better. I agree he can have his own opinions on who is attractive but I don't know why he needs to share them in an interview. It sounds unkind, or at best thoughtless.

As I said above, it seems like he had some sort of issue with Georgia and Giovanni. If they were friends I think he'd be a lot more circumspect, whatever he thought privately.

I guess he has the £200 to bet after selling that opinion.

Gleb now seems less of a loss.
