It did indeed seem pointless having an episode focussing on Warren's point of view. After all, he was not even in Hollyoaks at any point during Patrick's MND, his murder or the aftermath.

Actually, surprisingly, I've really enjoyed the points of view week. What I liked was that the show has been more character driven which has made it loads better. Having said that, I must admit that I thought today's Warren ep was the least interesting ep of the week for me!”

Hello

Same here, I think he's decent, a better actor than the one who played Ben Bradley anyway.

Yes, the show has been a lot more character driven, I especially like the overlapping scenes being played, like the one in Nancy's classroom.

I like Andrew in the role of Armstrong. He's a real sarky tough cop

Have you therefore watched all the episodes since Friday Marianne? I guess this is a rare week when the storyline is worth watching in its own right.

What? In a soap like Hollyoaks? My hunch is that Maxine will be arrested but that killer evidence (no pun intended ) against Nico will finally emerge in October.

I hope this does not burst your bubble. In case this would be the wrong moment, I recommend you look away now.

Spoiler
On August 17th, the 5th anniversary of the day our Kirsty cemented her place in my heart as my favourite actress of her generation, I watched some of her classic moments including the episodes when Sam & Danny died. Anyway, and here is the possible killer revelation
Spoiler
Cameron followed Leela to the morgue

We were supposed to believe there had been a Mercy killing in 2014 but thankfully it never actually happened!

Oh, as an aside from all this, I'll share a happy memory from about 20 minutes ago.
Spoiler
In the 9.00 news bulletin I heard Amber Rudd's voice.

You're welcome Sorcha.

He does come across as more competent than the mainly joke coppers Hollyoaks has had so far. The least believable have been Sonny Valentine followed by novice Jason Roscoe.

This is why I was unpersuaded of the merits of an episode focussed on Warren.

Jade stood up to Nico in particular, then Peri stood up to Jade. I know this might not make me popular on here, but I have enjoyed noticing Peri becoming a bit feister now.

When the police learn Sienna knew Nico killed Carla and Trevor, she'll get sent down for letting killer Nico do more crimes. Warren when he learns that Nico a killer and Sienna knew all along he'll either make sure Sienna doesn't get sent down or he'll leave her for good.

Once Grace learns Nico is Trevor's killer and Sienna knew all along, Grace will wanna kill Nico and go after Sienna next.

Once Ben learns the truth about Nico killed two other people before Trevor, he'll be released from jail off screen.”

It would be a tidy ending for Ben to be acquitted of Trevor's murder. I know Ben hated Trevor but to sacrifice his own freedom to celebrate Trevor's death? Just Hollyoaks script-writing at its worst.

Not that I'm aware of . I think they rested it to focus on the main show but would to see it make a comeback.

I know they they have a Halloween stunt lined up:

I guess we will know more when the Autumn trailer is released on Monday .

Joanne's is awful, as is Sonia and Cameron's. Celine's is disappointing, Courtney is out of place with Leela and Tegan.

Sienna's is the best though, perhaps for different reasons to why you like it

And thanks, I never realised I reached that many inane posts ”

Courtney's link with Leela & Tegan is indirectly a result of Cameron. So it would indeed be more logical to film her with Cameron, especially as Lockie is no longer there. I don't think we have even see Courtney meet Tegan yet.

Nice of you to remember me on a Monday when I rarely log onto DS. I'm sure the clip at the end of tonight's episode of a scene of Leela from tomorrow had her with her previous hairstyle. I will confess to preferring our Kirsty with shorter hair. Shoulder-length hair is probably my favourite hairstyle.

I'm quite liking the newbies. Really enjoyed Joel. I think the Ryan scene was meant to be a hint at his sexuality. With a new promo due Monday I reckon we will see him kissing a guy somewhere it.

Knowing oaks they could go either way dates regardless. Personally I'm hoping its Adams.

It may have made more sense to split Nancy and Darren's; however I really enjoyed tonight and didn't expect to.

Me too- there are far more offensive characters.

Ditto again. Didn't hugely rate warren in his last turn but really enjoying him in this. Dynamics with him and Joel have potential to be great and he works so well with sienna.

Eastenders is also going through a change it seems. However it be worse. Be interesting to see if the carters survive given the impending exits.

This whole week has been great for me. Characters I normally despise have put in some great performances. Peri and Nico and the show has felt far more character drive and realistic (excluding the obvious flaws in the story which had already been sewn).

The new additions have great potential and everyone who has been involved has had a great part to play. It's also left the show with lots of mileage as well as (hopefully) concluding the Patrick storyline. I think by year end the show could be in a really strong position. I haven't been able to praise it like this for a long time.

Hi Leema

I think I see the point of a Warren POV episode. Not because he's directly involved in the murder. But he is linked in with the bulk of the suspects. He knows a lot of information about the body moving and the episode was focusing on his moral dilemmas regarding Maxine's baby and Joel's sudden reappearance. He's in deep with Sienna and his history with Darren. This episode was joining the gaps up between the previous three.

But hey. I might be wrong. It happens occasionly

It's the longest lasting relationship the show has had in it's history

They're fantastic, and although they've had their ups and downs, their relationship has always been genuine.

Spoiler
I'm a bit worried too. But Kirkwood has talked of his admiration for Davinia and Jude for years now, so hopefully he won't pull a 'Clare' and kill her off.

No worries. Just because you're rarely here on a Monday doesn't mean we don't remember you

I agree. Shoulder hair suits her much better. However, I wonder how a pixie cut would suit her...

In a way Jimmy you've made the Warren episode more significant. Like you say, most of the characters he knows have close connections with Patrick and what happened to him.
