ED - Butlers Farm
When Moira and James formed the partnership, didn't they get a contract to supply supermarkets?
Anyway since the lovely suggers went I have been thinking of the lack of farm hands. Not so long ago there was Moira Adam Cain (helping now and then) James Pete Suggers Zak and even Ashley labouring at one point. now they have Moira James and Holly none of which ever really appear to actually be working so is James just about to cause Moira to lose the farm? surely she can't run it singlehandedly given that
Spoiler
consideting how ED started seeped in farming history its a bit of a rotten way to treat the last farm we see. Anyone else worried about Moira's impending sausage crisis? |

Maybe Adam and Pete will start working back at the farm or they could have Moira sell the farm and introduce a new family.

I think it's time for Emmerdale to introduce a new farming family, maybe even at Emmerdale Farm itself.

Don't know what happened to it but they could easily come up with a reason for it to return, even just in name rather than location.

Didn't Jack sell the original farm? Kept a couple of fields? Found this. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...92&postcount=3 |

Back on topic, realistically I do wonder how many people Butler's would employ? For a long time it seemed to have a lot of staff, and none of them working in the factory. Does the factory even still exist? You would think it would have its own staff. They evidently don't t have a set anymore but it could be an alternative workplace to Sharma's s or the pub.

I was thinking about this recently myself. At one point Moira seemed to be employing half the village up at the farm and now it's like one woman and her dog (James
) up there.

They covered that in a scene the other day. Moira was complaining about not being happy with the farm workers the agency were sending them. But it doesn't feel like a real farm when hardly any characters work there, it takes the soul out of the place. I can't understand why they had to do that silly plot with Pete and Moira, he made much more sense up there working at Butlers than he does manning the phones at the worlds crappiest cab company. How Barton Cabs turn a profit with only 2 drivers, who spend half the day in the pub is the real mystery. |

If the farm is supplying supermarkets and the pubs directly then it has to have a slaughterhouse and processing plant I presume. Neither of which we ever seen.
