EE 3G issue

Evening,

As some of you will have seen, I have recently got a Samsung Galaxy S7 on EE. Overall, I am loving the phone and the network, but there is one issue that is bugging me and I want to know whether this is usual with the phone and network.

I can be on 4G and everything is working fine. When the signal gets weak, it will switch down to 3G and a H icon appears on the screen. The upload indicator lights up for a few seconds (but not the download), then goes off for a second or two, then comes on again for another three seconds. before going off and coming on again once more. During this time, there is no data throughput. Yesterday, I noticed while testing the signal around my house that, after a few attempts, it reset the modem (the data icon went off) and all was fine afterwords. This often doesn't happen though and I have to switch mobile data off and back on again or cycle flight mode to bring it back (although it may well work again if I left it potentially).

I'm disappointing as I never had this issue on my iPhone 5S on Three. EE's 3G network is great (I've seen speeds over 10 Mbps a few times) and the 4G network fantastic, but this issue is a bit frustrating.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Many thanks,

Ryan
