I am so sorry but tonight was the final straw for me with this storyline.
We have a clueless headmaster who obviously had no interest in resolving the situation.
Then Lauren makes up lies that Bethany is bullying her but my question is what about the witnesses?

Gemma, Luke, Nick and Gary have all seen Lauren bully Bethany so considering how serious this is how come they weren't asked to speak?

As someone who was once bullied I'm actually fed up with this storyline and will be glad when it's finally over.

Surely Bethany had abusive texts as well as Lauren text her things like fatty

Exactly Bethany has enough to get Lauren expelled and even press criminal charges against her since she stole her phone and Gemma saw it.

This storyline may just be fodder to head towards a Gary & Sarah romance with Bethany jealous of her mum.

So a rehash of when Bethany had a crush on Callum, then Callum/Sarah happened.

Yes, it's a poorly written storyline. Too many people know about the bullying so Bethany is not isolated and it's strange it would still continue.

A good bullying storyline was Esther's from Hollyoaks a few years ago. They did a nice job of making Esther a believable bullying victim and showing why she felt she could not depend on anyone.

You are probably right, priscilla; lazy writing.

The whole Bethany being bullied storyline has been unbelievable since day 1 they need to drop it now they are doing more harm than good by continuing.

Can't wait for the ep where David gets Lauren back. The storyline has got worse and worse. Too many know about the bullying and yet none of that was mentioned or the texts Bethany has from Lauren. Sooner this ends the better and next time maybe Corrie should leave it to soaps that can actually do it justice like hollyoaks.

I agree op. It's frankly ridiculous but I have come to expect nothing less from corrie the last few years

They don't do bullying storylines very well in this show do they? Last one was Faye being bullied by Grace? Went on for ages, and when she finally got caught out, that was about it, nothing more happened or was even mentioned, and the bully girl was written out of the show without so much as a mention ever again!

In this one, they could at least try and do something with it, proper mediation, the bully being caught in the act, being made to do some kind of anti bullying programme. It'll probably come to a massive head, Lauren will be expelled and never seen or heard of again!

Or just a plotline for Gary & Bethany romance.

No. Simon's storyline about being bullied just fizzled out.

Or it will turn out Lauren and her mother are the victims of an abusive father/husband, the old cliché of victim of abuse becomes the abuser and once that is revealed Bethany will take pity and become Laurens new best friend.

Was that when he was dressed up a la Dorothy from the wizard of Oz? Because that came across as funny rather than upsetting imo.

Bullying is not funny but unfortunately that's how it came across on screen to me

I thought everything about Corrie was rubbish and bad. This storyline is no exception

Even the cobbles are putting terrible performances.

Yes nothing about this bully sl is remotely realistic, you want to see a good realistic portrayal of bully watch Esther's one in HO if you can find it.

I too also wondered if Bethany saved any of the texts that Lauren sent her. Also presumably Lauren sends her abusive messages on Social Media as well which are easy to screen grab and save. Bullying isn't just physical in the 21st Century. The headteacher never even asked whether there was any other proof of the bullying.
