Why did Pete find it so funny that Ross got with Kerry behind dan's back as didn't he find out Debbie had been seeing Ross behind his back at their wedding? So it seems a bit weird he would be amused it happened to someone else.

Because he's an absolute moron. The character literally does nothing he needs the axe!

I personally cannot bear the actor either he is woeful in my opinion

No idea. But their new pally, pally brotherly relationship is getting on my nerves. Not so long ago Pete nearly killed Ross. It's ridiculous!

Because - like far too many characters in ED these days, he's had a complete memory wipe from anything that happened more than 6 months ago.

And vice versa. Their relationship these days does not ring true at all.

Does Pete know who really owns the bra-in-the-car? I know that Ross does, but has he told his newly found buddy bruv?

Pete isn't a saint. He's not a very nice person as evidenced over the last year or so.

Aswell as that he is the most boring character in soap alongside James boreton and dreary Maria in corrie

As always Sorcha, the voice of reason! I'd actually very much enjoy seeing Pete and Papa Boreton get mangled to death in a freak combine harvester accident. Preferably with Queen bitch Emma at the wheel laughing hysterically as she does the world a favour and rids of these complete pointless characters!!

What a nice thing to say Craig although I'm sure at many times it's not quite true

As for the rest of your post I'm in complete agreement

I always liked him prior to getting with Debbie, he has had a complete change of character in last few months though and become very unlikable.

Pete has always been a naff character. In fact, the barton men are deadwood these days anyway

Finn and James have been deadwood since day 1. Pete became slightly relevant when he shacked up with Debbie. Ross is there for filler and comedic pointless scenes as Michael Parr still continues to "perform" as himself.

Would happily see them all go. They really are my only gripe with the show at the moment.

Because we're not supposed to remember that last year Pete and Ross were trying to kill each other over Debbie.

It's baloney, really. I'm hoping this stuff with James means that we'll finally get a decent storyline for them. I'm sick of seeing Ross wasted. Give that man a damn good storyline!

[Also Poor Sad Celibate Plotless Finn. I've heard hell might be about to freeze over as well].

Agreed! At the risk of provoking arguments I have never seen the adulation of Michael Parr who always seems the same to me. And I hate his hair so there!

I love all the Barton boys, and Pete's behaviour now while a far cry from a year ago seems more genuine of the character. Last years murderous and hateful behaviour didn't ring true for me and I find it more believable that they could actually get on in this manner.

The past year at Emmerdale has been a big old mess. I'm hoping it fixes itself soon with more from all the Barton boys, especially Finn. 😍

Also I think Michael Parr is certainly one of the better actors in the show and I like his hair.

I have never warmed to any of them really. Wouldn't miss them if they all vanished tomorrow. Emma had potential to really stir things up but they neutered her and saddled her to James 'cure for insomnia' Barton. Perhaps if she kills him and gets away with it she can finally fulfill her potential, away from him.

Im confused, how is Michael Parr playing himself? I doubt that Michael has nicked cars and tried to kill people. Yes, Ross has only had comedic scenes this year due to the fact that Michael is preparing to climb Everest for his charity. His character has such a massive year last year, so he is now taking the back seat for a bit. I wish Robert and Aaron would do the same.

Its funny, when Ross showed his worse possible side (shooting Robert, trying to kill Pete) people on here wanted him to take a back seat and give other more screen time. Now that he has had a quiet year, people are now saying he is only in the soap for comedic scenes, no that would be characters like Jimmy and Dan. I'm looking foward to James' death as it will give the whole family a new storyline.

I'm looking forward to James's death mostly for this reason. It'll be great to see the boys, hopefully, pull together and look after one another. More Ross & Finn scenes are always welcome.

People will honestly find anything to complain about and there's a fair few members, not all, I might add that hold a grudge against Ross and Michael Parr for some things he did last year.

The guy who plays him was awful in Hollyoaks and was lucky to have Claire (Jacqui) and Andy (Rhys) to make the scenes they did bearable!
He is the same in Emmerdale, is still shocking and uses the rest of the cast to hide the fact he is so bad!

Well obviously not smart arse

Watch Michael Parr in Emmerdale
and then watch him in an interview, he is essentially performing as himself. They key word I used was "performing" not "playing", You used that word. but a thug criminal version of himself. Zero effort required on his part as far as i am concerned.
