Love at the end of Daisy and Alijaz training. Alijaz goes for a double high five and Daisy ignores that and throws her arms around him. Don't blame her at all

Yep, agree.

Aw, he looks like such a good teacher. It's the way he wants the feel of it ahead of getting all the steps and stuff. That seems good to me. Give the mind and the body the feel of it -- it's a trust thing.

Looking good

In their first weeks of training they cover the basics of several dances. I love the part that Daisy said Aljaz taking 'first steps' too literally and teaching her to walk! She'll soon discover that 'walking' the everyday walk, the ballroom walk, and the Latin walk are all totally different!!!!!

Thank you, Bendy!

She looks somewhat more graceful than what I expected.

I wonder if they don't know yet what their week one dance is, so he's covering the basics of both disciplines>

They do know, I think. On Twitter Joanne said Ore had learnt the whole routine in one session.

Anastacia said on Twitter that Brendan had choreographed an exciting routine. I think Anton was also teaching Lesley a routine there.

BIB obviously you didn't see what I said about her problems regarding technique in a previous post?

They know, but they have three weeks now, they will only have one later, so they try to teach them more, not just the first dance.

I'll take that. I'm usually at least 98 out whenever I try anything mathematical

I think I remember the same last year with Anita. She had waltz and Cha-Cha steps incorporated into her initial training.

I didn't see any post specifically refering to technique, although I did see one mentioning poor posture etc. Either way, would you seriously expect a beginner on day 1 to show these assets?

Technique has to be taught - and actually the correct posture has to also -, both are very long learning curves and will take time to learn. Anton would certainly not be bothered too much about either of these things on day 1 for sure. We of course are basing comments on the clips shown, what we would not have seen is that Anton may have been looking at the footwork etc, later on.

she could have naturally got the posture etc she wont be a natural dancer but I just thought given it would be like a 5 hour training session they'dve got more done

The required and correct posture for ballroom has to be taught, it is on ongoing thing and all / most dancers still work on this, for years. It is very complex, add to that the poise and correct hold......... When she is comfortable with the steps, body positioning , foot work etc, the posture and poise can be worked on.

Tameka and Gorka also said on Twitter that they "had" a routine.
