Atlanta
Just started in the US, the new Donald Glover project. 2 episodes in and it's great. Think it'll be on Fox UK later in the year.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/enter...9a6_story.html Slightly strange watching a weekly 30min show, given how we are so used to binging hour long episodes and a whole season in a weekend! |

The brief synopsis I read pegged it as an Empire type show so I didn't bother. About to watch on FN Now.

Perhaps I'm being premature but it's a different show to Empire; there's no glitz and glamour for a start as it's not told from the rich and powerful music producers viewpoint, but from the struggling artist/fledgling manager. It's also laced with humour which I certainly appreciated. Donald Glover's delivery is amazing...
Already hooked, it's a good start to the series, I hope it continues. |

Finally got round to watching this
It's wrong for me to say i am disappointed as i had no anticipation or interest in the series anyway. I checked it out on a whim and because if i did end up liking it, i would know a second season is a go However, it's fairly average. Not very funny though. I don't think Donald Glover is strong enough to lead a series though. He isn't wooden or a poor actor. But you need a sense of charisma and flare to lead a television series. I personally feel he lacks that. |
