Why?

There was no point to him when he was in it before.

What does that have to do with it? Is there any point to maria, or sean or fizz?

I don't know if he is actually returning. It just seemed to be a rumour.

They all have more of a point than Brian ever did. Did he interact with anyone besides Julie?

Agreed.

But at least Julie won't be returning with him.

I liked Brian and Julie as a couple. I think Brian, as headmaster, would deal with the bullying storyline much better that the present headmaster.

I eat my words then.

I don't mind him returning as I thought the character was rather harmless, although I will miss him with Julie. Seeing as Kate Oates is bringing him back I hope Dennis Tanner makes another return, as he had such a poor exit.

I thought i was the only one who liked Brian and Julie! I agree with your comments and look forward to see what happens to his character (and i used to like his scenes with Ken Barlow too).
