I'm in two minds about this - if Anna is leaving, then I wish her the best (and the average acting quuality in HO will drop by about 50% in consequence) but at the same time I'll miss the crazy but somehow immensely likeable anagram of "Insane".

Mind. Blown.
![]() How did I not spot that before?? ![]() She isn't leaving yet, and hopefully not for a while, Anna is brilliant and its amazing to think she wasn't the first choice to play Sienna! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re names
Sienna has been in use as a name for a long time in recognition of the city and also colour. Peri is slightly more interesting because it was invented for A Doctor Who companion in 1984 - at least Perpugilliam was which Peri was short for. They'd had several unusual names, including Romana, Leela and Tegan but Nyssa and then Peri were the first they believed they'd invented. However, this works in Hollyoaks as they established right at the start that Danny and Sam were Who fans and had named all their children after companions. A tradition continued with Rose. Even Ste fits in, as there was a male companion called Steven in 1965. Now I've bored you, I'll bid goodnight. ![]() I like the Dr. Who connections regarding the name of the Lomax girls, it annoyed me when Peri named her daughter Steph, I know obviously she was named after our dear departed Ms. De la Dean, but carrying on the Who theme would have been nice if they named her Sarah-Jane in memory of Elizabeth Sladen for example. |

Couldn't disagree more, I can't see how it could have gone any other way. I would find it completely unbelievable for Sienna to do anything other than try to protect Nico. Perfect end to a good week for me

The moment she found out it was Nico, it was clear what she will do. She's blaming herself for what became of Nico anyway. I just hope Darren and Nancy will get their comeuppance, too, when somebody recognises that broach.

I hope they dont go to prison but I dont care if Maxine does as she was the one that dragged them into this mess. Sienna deserves to be imprisoned for all of the evil things she has done.

I knew it was a Dr Who name, but I thought of it as a simpler spelling of Perrie as in Little Mix.

I don't know what real people named Peri are short for - i find it hard to believe it is Perpugilliam which even the Producer who came up with it, admitted was a ridiculous name. It might just be used in its own right now.
I think it was around before the 80s - certainly Peri Gilpin, the actress from Frasier will have been born prior to that, unless it is just a stage name that she decided on after Doctor Who. Doubt it though. |
