Given the number of murdering scumbags on Walford Square, the last thing they need is to get rid of the funeral home.

I'm surprised Babe got away so easily with blackmailing them! No talk of how much she blackmailed them for or paying them back! That storyline seems to have just dwindled out.

lmao.
I do like them, I think they have been a good addition. We need a older family, and were meant to believe they've lived there for years right? They have a good backstory, a connection to Richard Blackwoods mum and all that.

As has been said, a terrible decision to scrap them.

I'd like to have seen Les grow in confidence with regard to his cross dressing and the community accept his choice.

Wasted opportunity by the producer/storyliners.”

I mostly agree but BIB, where would that storyline have gone once his choice had been accepted by all?

Les would be free to live the life he wanted.

I think they have been let down by bad character development but there is so much more they could have done. A bad decision. Not every character has to be an OTT villain.

Even Alex Lamb has retweeted an article saying they need to be saved. It does seem a shame that SOC clearly can't see how well they've been received as characters.

I agree it ended like a damp squib, it could have gone so much better. An awful thing for Babe to do, and yet it shows her getting away with it. I was really looking forward to her getting her comeuppance, but no......just glossed over.

Forgot to add. So many good characters gone from EE, and here we go again, there is far more mileage yet ...... yet they keep Shakil and his Mum and that latest Slater Sister......so uninteresting that I cannot remember her name.

Babe needs her comeuppance before they leave

I wonder if they really wanted to get rid of Les (Roger Sloman) and keep Pam (Lin Blakley), but she decided that it was the honorable thing to go with the rest of the family?

Has there been rumours of this? or has anyone read/heard any reactions from the actors on their departure?

I don't get how Pam who crumbles at the slightest emotional problem could have had a career as a social worker, hopefully Billy takes over the business and gives Jay a job

Unlike Danny Dyer or Kym Marsh, there are some actors who don't feel the need to go running to the press to give comment on things. Maybe they might give an exit interview once they actually leave.
