Well I suppose if he doesn't feel he'll be as heavily featured by this new guy as he was by Kate Oates, he might think about heading off again.

I doubt if McLeod would do anything deliberately to piss him off though - he comes with a massive vote-happy fandom.

Unforuntley it looks like we are stuck with Robron for a while though fingers crossed he also gushed about coira who were actually intresting together.

ED won't be breaking up robron any time soon... the journey they were put through is for a long term couple... that's why they are stronger than any of their contempararies, other gay couples out there

All it would take is one secret to come out.... you know the time, Robert hired a hitman to kill his mum? I have a feeling that might put him in the dog house.

Is this the journey that led to Robert killing Katie and attempting to kill paddy and chas? Not the most romantic of journeys really.

Yeah, but of course little things like that have been forgotten in order for the "fandom" to be kept happy.

Or the scene where Aaron battered Robert in the road, imagine that's was David doing it Tracey for example. Is physical abuse sexy and angsty if it's between two men?

You know I take issue with those things two but i have seen other soaps do it as well. On General Hospital years ago Luke raped Laura before those two became the most popular super couple on soaps. The show didn't acknowledge the rape for decades and the fans didn't care their wedding was the most watched episode of a (US) soap.

Apparently so, also holding his secret lover and Paddy hostage has been totally forgotten. Well, I suppose its one to tell the grandchildren eh?

Or your godson even, and then regale them with tales of how you threatened to have them murdered when they was mere infant with learning difficulties for threatening to tell your wife about your seedy affair with the local scally.

Oh, I forgot about that one. It really is shocking how bad the writing has been.

Yeah, unfortunately Emmerdale will never bring any of this up again. They will probably even have Saint Robert babysitting Leo and no one will bat an eye.

But to keep them interested he has to be on screen, and he isn't very much now and soon he won't be at all.

Who's getting shot? I know that James is supposed to be killed, but where has it been stated that he is going to be shot?
For that matter, I don't believe that his death will have anything to do with his affair but will intertwine with Holly's exit. Or is he staying on after her?

Could just be PR speak though, he's hardly going to come in and say how much he hates the coupling even if he did have that opinion.

I would love it if he left, it's been too much about Aaron since he came back and he needs another break. Sure it's slowed down a little bit now, but it's been non-stop for the 2 years(?) before that.

Chas and Robert are infinitely more interesting characters without Aaron taking centre stage all the time.

I haven't seen anything. I don't even know whether he's going to be killed. I haven't seen it on ITV or any of the few reliable sites (this isn't one of them).

It's not really relevant because a lot of filming is done way out of sequence, but Sophie Powles went a week or two ago.

Sorry my bad, there is no evidence that he gets shot, just that he is killed and its a mystery.

katie was an accident...

attempting to kill paddy and chas... he chickened out on both counts...

similar to aaron's journey... when he messed with the brakes of carl's car and chickened out...

it's a journey yes... robert was very conflicted at the time being pulled in two directions by two desires-- the life of luxury and his love for one man

aaron knows katie was an accident... he knows about the grain pit...

but he also knows it's part of robert's ermmm dark, conflicted phase

just like aaron's dark, conflicted phase when he himself had done regrettable things eg beating black and blue

he himself was the recipient of unconditional love from paddy who never turned his back on him so he knew firsthand about these things

dec 2014 he told robert what a bad boy he was and when robert asked him how he turned himself round, aaron said it's coz people didn't turn their backs on him

understanding and forgiving and loving robert despite everything is in a way-- paradoxically-- aaron paying it forward

it was robert being gobby robert, scaring paddy to keep his trap shut.. no strong reason to believe he'll follow it through-- and he didn't
